Hot off the heels of giving us an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at her campaign for sister Jessica Simpson's clothing line, Ashlee Simpson is opening up about her stylish sibling's new collection and what it was like to work with her.
And she's not the only Simpson speaking up!
Proving that the Simpson's are truly making the debut of Jessica's fall collection a family affair, both Ashlee and mother Tina dished on everything from the blond beauty's design style to what sets the two siblings apart.
"This time it's bohemian Americana, so that was the theme," Ashlee explained about her older sis' upcoming line. "And she asked me to shoot the campaign which was an honor and she was there directing it."
And while Tina believes both girls definitely channel an Americana spirit, she also thinks Ashlee has a boho vibe that Jessica doesn't naturally gravitate towards.
"Both girls are all-American, but Ashlee has more of an edge and Jessica is a little more how you are dressed, like sweet Americana—that's the difference," Tina said, referring to E! News' Alicia Quarles personal style.
But what of Jessica's firstborn Maxwell? Is there any way of telling whether the wee 14-month-old will follow in the fashionable footsteps of her designer mom or model auntie?
"Maxwell is already going to be a lot like Ashlee," revealed Tina.
Talk about a boho babe!
But whatever style little Maxwell ends up embracing, we're sure her mom will have plenty of sage sartorial advice to give. After all, on top of working on her own line, she played mentor to aspiring designers on Fashion Star.
And though the show was recently canceled, Tina thinks it couldn't have come at a better time.
"I think it was a nice transition time for her, because with two kids at home it's going to be a little hard," she said of the difficulties of balancing work with motherhood.
So, what's next for Jessica after having unveiled her new line?
"Who knows!" Tina exclaimed. "There's lots in store!"
