Luis, Anne, Julia thrilled over new awards

MANILA, Philippines -- Kapamilya stars Anne Curtis, Julia Montes and Luis Manzano took to microblogging site Twitter to express their excitement over their latest awards. Manzano, Curtis and Montes were all winners from the 44th Box-Office Entertainment Awards of Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc. held at the AFP Theater on Sunday night. "To the Guillermo Foundation, I humbly apologize na hindi ako nakarating ngayong gabi, kinailangan kong pumuntang Batangas after 'PGT'.... maraming maraming salamat sa award, napakalaking bagay nun sa akin as an artist, salamat and once again, sobra sobrang sorry sa inyo lahat," Manzano tweeted. Manzano won the Prince of Philippine Movies award with the box-office hit "This Guy's in Love with You Mare," co-starring Toni Gonzaga and Vice Ganda. "Pilipinas Got Talent," whose judges Ai Ai delas Alas and Kris Aquino were also winners at the box-office awards, had its first semifinals results show on Sunday, coinciding with the awards ceremonies. For her part, Montes, who was named Princess of Philippine Television for the ratings success of her series "Walang Hanggan," said the award was a dream come true. "Maraming salamat sa Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation sa parangal po na ito. It's really a dream come true para sa akin po... Napakasaya ko .. Thank you din sa @dreamscapeph sa pagtitiwala at sa show na 'Walang Hanggan.' Eto po ang naging daan para sa akin... Thank you God for everything ... Promise na every work and opportunity na ipagkakaloob nyo ay pagbubutihan ko pa lalo ... Goodnight everyone," Montes said. Curtis, meanwhile, won the Female Concert Performer of the Year trophy, which she shared to her fans for believing in her. "I dedicate this award to all the dreamers and everyone that has a little ANNEBISYOSA in all of them. (Love) Bow," Curtis tweeted. "Thank you Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation for making me Female Concert Performer of the year at the 44th Box Office Entertainment Awards. I may not be the best singer but I sure do give my ALL each time I'm on stage to perform as Annebisyosa. To all the dreamers and everyone that has a little ANNEBISYOSA in them, I dedicate this award to YOU!" Curtis said. Fellow Kapamilya stars John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, who celebrated their 10th anniversary as a "love team" with the romance-drama film "The Mistress" last year, were named Box-Office King and Box-Office Queen, respectively. Kris Aquino, Vice Ganda and Ai Ai delas Alas, who starred in the Star Cinema and Viva Films offering "Sisterakas," were named Phenomenal Box-Office Stars.
