MANILA, Philippines -- After Julia Montes decided to take the LRT to an event on Monday morning, it was actor Enchong Dee's turn to take the train to avoid the heavy rush hour traffic in the metro.
On Monday night, Dee decided to just ride the MRT to make it to the premiere night of his movie "Tuhog" at Gateway Cinema in Cubao.
In his Twitter account, Dee posted a photo of himself waiting at the MRT station in Santolan.
"I think hindi ko gagawin 'yung ginawa ko ngayong gabi, 'yung pag-MRT mula sa taping at babalik sa taping kung hindi ako 100% supportive sa pelikula," Dee said In an interview with ABS-CBN News.
Dee also said he enjoyed riding the MRT and meeting a lot of people.
The actor said his experience inside the train in away mirrored the story of their film "Tuhog," which is set to hit theaters nationwide starting July 17.
"May realization how to value their life, katulad ng nakita ko sa MRT -- ang dami-daming tao na araw-araw ay nagpupunta sa trabaho, nagbibiyahe. Hindi mo alam kung ano ang pwede mong kaharapin, mananakawan ka or minsan maaksidente ka. Kumbaga ever second of our life let's value it kasi hindi mo alam kung ano ang susunod," Dee said.
"Tuhog" also stars Leo Martinez, Jake Cuenca and Eugene Domingo.
On Monday morning, Dee's leading lady in ABS-CBN's series "Muling Buksan Ang Puso," Julia Montes also took the train -- as well as a jeepney and a trolley -- to make it to an event on time.
