MANILA – Comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas is seeking a protection order against her husband for 29 days, businessman Jed Salang.
This comes after the actress confirmed last week that Salang physically abused her.
In an interview with “The Buzz” aired on Sunday, delas Alas’ legal counsel June Ambrosio said the actress filed for the protection order last Friday before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court and is now just waiting for the request to be granted.
“Friday lang na-file, pina-process pa siyempre yan, dadaan kung saan saan. Ang then the judge will probably order ng Monday so baka mga Tuesday or Wednesday pa maserve sa kanya,” she said.
“Mga 100 to 500 meters and [Jed] cannot go near Ai Ai and designated members, designated staff members, house members. [Jed] cannot contact her. He cannot talk about the case, he cannot talk about her. Parang gag order 'yan eh,” Ambrosio added.
Delas Alas’ lawyer also confirmed rumors that Salang returned the luxury sports car that the comedienne gave him on the same day they had a major disagreement that led to their separation.
“As far as I know, binigyan siya ng option, si Jed. Either ibalik niya or bahala siya magtuloy ng amortization. Eh siguro hindi naman niya kayang ituloy 'yung bayad eh ‘di binalik na lang niya. Hindi binawi ni Ai Ai, si Jed ang nagbalik kasi hindi niya kayang bayaran 'yun kasi installment naman pa kinuha iyan, hindi naman po full payment 'yan,” he said.
Meanwhile, “The Buzz” host Boy Abunda said he was able to talk to Salang but the businessman refused to grant any media interviews.
“I had the chance to speak with Jed. Negdisisyon po si Jed na huwag magsalita but we had that conversation,” Abunda said.
After delas Alas’ emotional revelation last week, Salang reportedly deleted his Instagram account and also skipped work for several days.
Delas Alas and Salang were married in Las Vegas last April 3. The actress decided to leave her husband last May 2, saying she believes Salang never loved her.
