MANILA, Philippines – After all the controversies that surrounded Maricel Soriano in January, the veteran actress was all smiles when she faced the media over the weekend about her upcoming project.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Soriano said she is extremely happy to be doing a new movie with Eugene Domingo, Andi Eigenmann and Billy Crawford.
“Sobra akong excited kasi the last time na nagkatrabaho kami ni Uge (Domingo’s nickname), ‘yung ‘Bahay Kubo’ with Eric Quizon and Joel Lamangan pa. Ito ‘yung second time namin kaya excited ako and siyempre 'yung dalawang bagets na makakasama ko, inaanak ko pa 'yung isa, si Andi,” she said.
Soriano said she considers this project a blessing after it was announced that she will no longer join the cast of the ABS-CBN series “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.”
“Happy na happy ako kasi blessing ito para sa akin. Lahat kayo na nag-aabang, ito na. Abangan niyo dahil masayang masaya itong pelikula na gagawin namin, para sa inyo ito. Huwag na kayo mainip kasi ito na talaga siya,” she said.
The actress also gave a message to her fans, who have been consistently supporting her.
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa kanilang lahat dahil hindi nila ako iniwanan. Lagi silang nandiyan at patuloy na nagmamahal,” she said.
Aside from this project, the veteran actress also expressed excitement over the movie that she is set to do with comedian Vice Ganda, who has openly said that he wants to do a project with Soriano.
“Pagbibigyan natin siya. Alam mo naman ako mapagbigay. Pagbibigyan natin si Vice. Mahal ko iyan eh. Excited ako kay Vice,” Soriano said.
