Regine undergoes therapy to treat hoarse voice

MANILA – Veteran singer Regine Velasquez admitted she has been undergoing therapy to cure her hoarseness, which sometimes affects her singing. Speaking to “The Buzz” which was aired on Sunday, Velasquez said: “I’m treating the acid reflux, that’s the reason why I’m hoarse all the time. But now I’m under treatment.” Her husband, singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, meanwhile reported that Velasquez’s condition is now getting better. “Yung therapy niya, ang ganda ng resulta,” he said. Late last year, Velasquez’s concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena had to be cut short after she lost her voice due to an illness. This prompted her to stage a repeat of the concert for her fans.
