During the story conference of their upcoming movie with Star Cinema, Toni Gonzaga excitedly talked to her co-stars Angel Locsin, Bea Alonzo, and Shaina Magdayao. Although she wasn’t able to go to their initial bonding session, Toni vowed to attend their next get-together prior to the shoot of their movie. “I’m excited sa movie na ito kasi first time ko makakasama sina Bea, Angel, Shaina at Enchong (Dee). Ang sarap ng feeling na napagkatiwalaan ka na ihanay sa kanila,” she said in an interview with Push.com.ph.
Known for being a very private person, the host-actress has kept only a few trusted friends from show business aside from her family. But she refused to mention who these people are because she didn’t want to jinx her relationship with them. “Hindi nga marami pero pili lang. Ayoko na sabihin kasi kapag brino-broadcast mo yung mga friends mo may mga nangyayari. So okay na yung alam namin sa puso namin na sila yung friends ko.”
She said she knows that based from experience that you can never be too careful when it comes to the people whom you will let in on your life.
“Like what Angel said, it’s so hard to open your heart to people in the industry lalo na kapag may experiences ka before. [But] my heart and soul is willing to open up again and embracing friendship [this time around].” Of her three female co-stars, Toni revealed that she can easily relate to Angel even though they’ve never had the chance to get to know each other really well. “Si Angel nakasama ko na before pero hindi yung bonding in a deep level. Pero si Angel kasi pag kinausap ko may certain connection na kami agad na maintindihan ko na agad siya. Ewan ko, totoong tao kasi si Angel. So pag nagusap kami alam ko kung anong pinanggagalingan agad. Alam ko kaagad na totoo.” Toni described Bea as one of the kind-hearted celebrities she knows in the business. They previously worked together in Maging Sino Ka Man Book 2 as well as doing production numbers together on ASAP. “Bea is one of the nicest persons I know in the industry. Laging walang masamang buto, laging okay lahat, masaya lang palagi. She always sees the good in every person.” On the other hand, she’s looking forward to get to know Shaina better as they work for the first time in this project. “Si Shaina before na-a-aloof ako sa kanya kasi feeling ko ang sosyal niya tapos ang tagal na niya sa ABS-CBN. Tapos may set of friends na siya dito. Naisip ko baka hindi na siya ganon ka open makipagkaibigan sa tulad ko na ‘di pa ganon katagal sa ABS-CBN. Actually, sa ASAP nagkakausap na rin kami. So dun ko pa lang naramdaman na ok. This is an opportunity for me na makakilala sila in a different level.” Since then Toni has made an effort to reach out to Shaina as they try out yoga sessions together with Angel and Bea. Toni has also invited Shaina to one of her fitness classes recently.
