Angel Locsin thanks Noranians and Vilmanians

PMPC (Philippine Movie Press Club) Star Awards for Movies Best Actress Angel Locsin couldn’t believe she beat veteran actresses and personal idols Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, and Gina Alajar. Angel bagged the top acting award for her performance in Star Cinema’s movie “One More Try.”

She downplayed her award and praised fellow-nominees. I’m just very thankful, especially sa PMPC, kasi siguro binibigyan nila ng chance yung mga mas bagong artista,” Angel added.

Noranians and Vilmanians

She admitted feeling initially worried about how Noranians and Vilmanians would react to her victory. Nora, who also attended the event, came with her massive fan base that night.

Told that Vilmanians and Noranians accepted the decision gracefully, Angel said, “Ang bait naman nila, katulad ng mga iniidolo natin. So, maraming salamat po.”

The Kapamilya actress will feel honored if given a chance to work with Nora for the first time, and Vilma for the second time (the first was in the family drama “Mano Po”). “Si Ate Guy hindi ko pa nakakatrabaho. Siguro kung okey sa kanya, kung sa tingin niya ay hindi siya mahihirapang katrabaho ako, or sa tingin niya makakatulong ako sa project, go,” Angel said. Mum on Angelica Panganiban But Angel remained tightlipped when asked about fellow Best Actress nominee and “One More Try” co-star Angelica Panganiban. The two are reportedly not in good terms. Angel will soon start shooting a Star Cinema project with Bea Alonzo, Toni Gonzaga and Shaina Magdayao. Editor's note: Yahoo!
