Angeline shares final moments with father

MANILA - Angeline Quinto is putting up a strong front despite the passing of her father, Pop Quinto, due to kidney failure last October 1. In an interview with “The Buzz” aired on Sunday, Quinto said she knows her father would want her to be strong and face life’s challenges with her head up high. Asked what she would miss the most about her dad, the singer said: “Sobrang daming bagay ang mami-miss ko sa kanya. Siya ang tumayong nanay at tatay sa aming lahat. Nung unang araw na namatay si Papa, napanaginipan ko siya agad. Alam kong masaya na si Papa ngayon kasi naka-smile siya sa akin [sa panaginip].” Saying she now has a guardian angel, Quinto said: “Sobrang ipinagmamalaki ko siya bilang tatay ko. Kung hindi dahil sa kanya hindi ako makakarating kung nasaan ako ngayon.” Meanwhile, the singer shared she is happy that her biological parents have patched things up before her father passed away. “Tinawag ko na po si nanay Susan kasi simula nung nakilala ko si nanay Susan, hindi pa sila nagkikita ni papa. Alam ko din 'yung mga sama ng loob ni papa kay nanay Susan so nung nakita ko na ganun, tinawag ko na si nanay Susan para kahit paano magkausap,” she said. Quinto just met her biological mother early this year while her father was the one who raised her. “Ang nakakalungkot lang, hindi na nakakadilat si Papa noon, kamay na lang yung gumagalaw. Pero alam ko naririnig niya kami. Ayaw ko lang talaga na makita niyang malungkot ako,” she said. While she is sad that her father will no longer be around during her birthday next month, Quinto said she is hoping that her father will accompany her each day she goes to work. “Humihingi din ako ng tulong sa kanya para makayanan ko lahat,” she said.

Angeline hopes to collaborate with Sarah G

MANILA, Philippines -- Singer Angeline Quinto wants to have "The Voice of the Philippines" coach Sarah Geronimo as a guest artist in her upcoming album. "Sa totoo lang pinaguusapan namin ni Sir Jonathan Manalo, actually last year pa 'yon na sana kung magkakaroon ulit ako ng album, sana ay makasama ko si Sarah," Quinto told ABS-CBNNews.com in an interview on Wednesday. "Kasi gusto ko na magkaroon kami ng duet na parang Barbara Streisand at Celine Dion na 'yung duet nila ay yung 'Tell Him.' So sana kung mabibigyan ng pagkakataon sana ay si Sarah, kasi last year si Ms. Regine (Velasquez) so sana ngayon si Ms. Sarah," she added. Quinto said this collaboration would also prove that there's really no competition between the two powerful singers. "Para sa akin po tapos naman na 'yon. MANILA, Philippines -- Angeline Quinto is set to undergo several cosmetic procedures on her face and parts of her upper body starting Saturday, according to celebrity dermatologist Vicki Belo. The 23-year-old Kapamilya singer, who rose to fame after winning the talent search "Star Power" in 2011, said she plans to undergo procedures on her nose, eyes, cheeks, armpits and back. The "ASAP" mainstay, who previously admitted to having regular glutathione treatments, said she has been meaning to have her nose "fixed" after getting comments on its supposed "disproportionate" size in comparison to her face. "Matagal ko nang sinasabi na sana kung may chance mapagawa ko 'yung ilong ko," Quinto told reporters at the sidelines of her recent pictorial as an endorser of Belo's chain of beauty clinics. "Kasi dati pa naman marami nang nagsasabi sa akin na parang hindi raw proportion 'yung ilong ko sa mukha, kasi medyo malaki. So ngayong mas pumayat ako, mas lalong napansin ng mga tao na malaki pala 'yung ilong ko talaga," she said. According to Belo, whose clinic will perform the planned procedures on Quinto, the singer's nose will be "enhanced" to address its "Pinocchio tip." "Most Pinoys nagpapagawa dahil kulang 'yung bridge. So nahihiya ako, so kailangan ko ipatanggal talaga," she said. She also openly shared that she has been getting botox treatments for her armpits to address excessive perspiration. "Madalas talaga ako nagpapagawa ng botox sa kilikili kasi nga medyo pawisin 'yung kilikili ko talaga, so 'yun 'yung madalas na pinapagawa at cleaning," she said. Asked why she is open about her planned cosmetic surgeries, unlike other celebrities who undergo the same, Quinto said she sees the move as helpful to her career.
