MANILA -- Matt Evans and his girlfriend, Katrina Fariñas, are now married. The 26-year-old actor shared the news on his Instagram page on Thursday, posting photos of the wedding ceremony attended by friends and family members. One photo showed what appeared to be his and Fariñas' hands wearing wedding rings, captioned, "Just married." He also referred to Fariñas as "My wife" in the accompanying caption of a photo of them together. Other photos showed Evans and Fariñas with her family, and the couple kissing on the lips during what appears to be the wedding reception. The "Muling Buksan ang Puso" actor, who is largely mum on his private life, made headlines in October 2012 when he was accused of his then-girlfriend, Johnelline Hickins, of hurting her. Evans, who denied the allegations, was imprisoned for a day before posting a P200 bail. A contract artist of ABS-CBN's Star Magic, Evans rose to fame in 2006 as one of the housemates in the first "Teen Edition" of "Pinoy Big Brother." He went on to star in several TV series, including "Pedro Penduko," "Kambal sa Uma," "Rosalka" and "Angelito: Ang Batang Ama."
