MANILA -- Box office director Wenn V. Deramas is now in stable condition after suffering a mild stroke last week.
According to friends of the film and TV director, Deramas is still confined in a hospital to recover fully.
"Prayers for my dear friend/mentor direk Wenn deramas, for his recovery, as he suffered a mild stroke.. As of press time, he is ok na daw," radio DJ and former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Rico Robles said on Twitter.
"Pagaling ka Direk Wenn Deramas....i know your movie will do good later," writer Jake Tordesillas said.
"Get well soon Direk Wenn Deramas," posted actor Joey Paras, whose debut film" Bekikang" is directed by Deramas.
Last Saturday on "It's Showtime," Vice Ganda also extended a "get-well-soon" message to Deramas, who directed his hits "Petrang Kabayo," "Praybeyt Benjamin" and "Sisterakas."
