MANILA – The young boy who defeated Charice in the singing competition “Little Big Star” is all grown up and ready to show his sexy side as he is set to join the upcoming Cosmo Bachelor Bash.
“Pinaghahandaan natin iyan. I’m really looking forward to do the Cosmo Bachelor Bash. Nagpapasalamat ako kasi sabi nila considered daw akong sexy this year,” singer-actor Sam Concepcion said on Tuesday.
Concepcion believes it is already the right time for him to graduate from cute teen roles.
“For the longest time, siyempre cute lang ang image. I am 21 na, sabi naman nila it’s just the right timing. Sakto lang, medyo pressured ng konti pero excited. Last year tinanong nila kung puwede na, sabi ko hindi muna. Nag-prepare muna ako ng konti,” he said.
Asked whether his decision to join the Cosmo Bachelor Bash has the blessing of his rumored girlfriend, actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Concepcion quipped: “Yes, alam niya.”
Dubbed "Cosmo U," this year's Cosmo Bachelor Bash will feature several other actors including Kapamilya stars JC de Vera, Matteo Guidicelli and Rayver Cruz. It is set to take place on September 24 and the World Trade Center.
Exclusively dating
Meanwhile, Concepcion is now more open about his reported relationship with Curtis-Smith.
“You did see us sa Star Magic Ball. I asked her out and she said yes. Okay naman ang lahat. We are exclusively dating. We see each other a lot. In a few occasions, she has met my family, I’ve met hers,” he said.
Concepcion said it has been a while since he first met Curtis-Smith and he is glad to be able to get to know her more this time.
“We only got to start getting to know each other more in the recent years. Hindi naman mawawala na I keep trying. When you’re in a relationship, you have to keep working for it na you win a girl every time,” he said.
Curtis-Smith is the younger sister of actress Anne Curtis.
