MANILA – Actor JC de Vera denied that he and fellow Kapamulya actor Paulo Avelino are not in good terms after it was reported that he is dating actress LJ Reyes, the mother of Avelino’s child.
In an interview with entertainment site Pep.ph after the Cosmo Bachelor Bash on Tuesday, de Vera said commenting about the matter will only add fuel to the fire, which should not have been there in the first place.
"Hindi naman kami magkaaway," he briefly said. "This time lang ako sasagot. ‘Di ko papatulan ['yung issue]. Wala akong dapat sagutin."
De Vera said he and Reyes are just friends even though he had admitted in the past that they have gone out a couple of times with a larger group.
In a preview interview with ABS-CBN News, Avelino shrugged off reports romantically linking his former girlfriend to the new Kapamilya actor.
Avelino said he doesn't see anything wrong if indeed Reyes and de Vera are dating.
“Ako, hindi ko alam. Siguro mas okay kung tanungin ninyo na lang sila. Pero sa akin, wala, wala naman. Happy, happy naman daw ang lahat,” he said.
Avelino joined the Kapamilya network in 2011, while de Vera just inked a deal with ABS-CBN last July.
