Being young didn’t stop My Little Juan star Izzy Canillo from dreaming big. When asked why he decided to join showbiz, the child actor revealed, “Kasi po may gusto po akong mabiling bahay kasi po maganda, may attic, may terrace.”
The young star relayed that he dreamed of buying a big house because he wanted to have a bigger playground. “Dati po kasi hindi kami nakakalabas eh, palaging merong tricycle, kaya gusto ko po, malaki para don po kami maglaro sa loob.” Now that he has finally made it in the industry and is top billing an afternoon soap, Izzy happily shared that they have already renovated their house and patterned it after his dream house. He also revealed that he wants to buy a car for himself soon. “[Gusto ko po] ‘yung kotse po na point 8 na matipid sa gas. ‘Yung point 8 po ‘yung makina niya,” he said.
Even though he’s already working, Izzy never forgets to play and bond with his friends and his dad. “Palagi po kaming naglalaro. Minsan po pag wala po akong magawa at ayaw po makipaglaro ng pinsan ko, yayain ko na lang po si dada (his dad) na lalabas kami, magba-basketball kami.”
Izzy looks up to Coco Martin as an actor. What are the acting tips he received from his kuya Coco? “Ano po, ‘yun po palaging focus at ‘yung noo po kunot noo palagi, tapos dapat parang palaging problemado, nag-aalala sa mga tao.”
The young star also received some advice on what to do during their mall shows. “Sabi niya po, ‘Izzy ganito gawin mo ha, pabibo ka, inaakit mo ‘yung mga tao, ‘yung pacute ka lang.’”
The young actor remarked that My Little Juan changed his life a lot. “Dahil sa My Little Juan nabago po ang buhay ko. Marami po akong natutunan hindi lang sa pag-arte, kundi pati po sa pagiging mabuting bata dahil sa mga itinuturo ni Father Cito (Jaime Fabregas) kay Juan.”
This Monday, July 8, expect some major changes in the show too with the introduction of a new character and the revelation of a new weapon. Also, the show will be launching Juan Fun School Day which aims to provide school supplies for underprivileged children.
