MANILA – Actress Dimples Romana will be joining the cast of the upcoming series “Muling Buksang ang Puso,” which is slated to air on ABS-CBN this July.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Romana said she feels honored to be given the opportunity to play the young Susan Roces.
“Magseserye na rin ako ng July. I shot for ‘Muling Buksan ang Puso.’ I played the young Susan Roces. Flashback kami doon but I’m very honored. Sabi ko nga ‘Ganoon ba ako katisay?’ Kasi ang tisay [ni Tita Susan],” she said.
Romana said she is also pressured to live up to Roces’ acting prowess.
“Grabe sa pressure kasi nung sinabi sa akin, inisip ko siyempre kailangan tapatan mo ang klase ng kalibre, kung hindi man tapatan ay subukan mo, acting-wise more than the physical of Tita Susan,” she said.
The actress also revealed that Iza Calzado and Joem Bascon will join her in the flashback episodes.
Directed by Manny Palo and Nuel Naval, the series will be headlined by Julia Montes, Enrique Gil and Enchong Dee.
It will also feature Dante Rivero, Pilar Pilapil, Dominic Ochoa, Daniel Fernando, Matt Evans, Malou Crisologo, Pooh, Jane Oineza, Agot Isidro, Jestoni Alarcon and Cherie Gil.
“Sobrang ganda nung serye. Parang pelikula na shinu-shoot po eh. Ang sarap lang na sa isang klase ng teleserye ginagawa ang ganun para na rin sa manonood,” said Romana.
