Celebrity couple Jennylyn Mercado and Luis Manzano
MANILA, Philippines – Saying he is not getting any younger, television host Luis Manzano shared that a wedding is something he wants to happen in the near future.
In a live interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Manzano said: “Alam ko na doon na ang susunod na patutunguhan. Ayaw ko na magsayang ng oras.”
Manzano, who just turned 32, is currently in a relationship with actress Jennylyn Mercado.
While settling down is well within his radar now, Manzano said he will still respect whatever decision Mercado would make.
“Kung si Jen ang pinag-uusapan natin, she has a longer way to go. Ako, I'm not getting any younger. I'm 32 pero I will completely respect, admire and understand na si Jen, bago maging asawa, mas priority niya maging mabuting ina - which she already is - so ipagpapatuloy muna niya iyon,” he said.
On his success
Meanwhile, Manzano said he never thought that he would be this successful in showbiz.
Manzano is currently hosting three regular shows: “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal,” “Pilipinas Got Talent” and “Minute To Win It.”
Apart from that, he signed his three-year contract with ABS-CBN just recently.
“May idea ako kung anong gusto kong mangyari. Pero hindi ko na-imagine na aabot ako sa ganito, na after a few years, magkakaroon ako ng ganitong achievements,” he said.
Manzano said he is making the most out of what’s happening to him now because he knows that nothing is permanent in showbiz.
“Ang sinasabi ko nga, dito sa industriya, kahit gaano karami ang ginagawa, maybe tomorrow wala ka nang ginagawa. Malay mo tsamba lang? So far, nandoon lang ako sa puntong iyon,” he said.
Nevertheless, Manzano said he is “very grateful” to the ABS-CBN management for entrusting to him his projects.
