Matteo unsure if he'll watch Sarah's concert

MANILA – Matteo Guidicelli said he does not know yet if he will watch the 10th anniversary concert of Sarah Geronimo at the Araneta Coliseum on November 15. This comes after the Popstar Princess said she doesn't want anyone being linked to her to be part of the show, which will have a repeat on November 30 at Mall of Asia Arena. In her "24/SG" concert last year, actor Gerald Anderson, who was courting her at the time, played a part on the show. Speaking to ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Guidicelli said he still has to check his schedule because he might have work commitments on that day. “I don’t know [if I will watch]. I don’t think so. I might have taping. I don’t know yet,” he briefly said. But the actor was quick to add that the concert will surely be a success because Geronimo always offers a great show. “It’s really, really nice. I remember watching her concert five years ago in Batangas and Cebu. And five years after, now it’s her 10th year, so congratulations. She’s amazing. The people love her. She’s very pure, she has a pure heart. She’s good at what she does. She has an amazing talent,” he said. Asked whether he is planning to give Geronimo something special, he said: “Iisipin ko pa iyan. Ano ba ang ibibigay ko?” Obviously trying to evade any more questions about his personal life, the “Galema” actor said he is just happy with how his life is going. “I’m very, very happy with everything. I’m very happy. With ‘Galema,’ it’s rating very well. My life right now, I’m very happy. It’s good,” he said. But some entertainment reporters continued to ask him about Geronimo, particularly on rumors about his parents liking the singer-actress. “I don’t know. I haven’t spoken to my mom yet. Hindi ko alam, sana. It’s nice to love everybody and to like everyone because everybody deserves to be appreciated and respected,” he said. According to Guidicelli, he has already met Geronimo’s parents when they had a series of shows abroad. “Magkasama kami sa America. They are cool, they’re just like any other family that just loves their daughter and loves their family very much. I guess all moms are strict. Even my mom is strict. Everybody wants the best for their kids,” he said. Rumors romantically linking the Kapamilya stars surfaced early this year when Guidicelli was reported to be the only showbiz personality seen at Geronimo's private birthday party in July, following his guest stint on her US concert series in the previous month. However, both stars have remained quiet about their closeness, with Geronimo saying, "This time gusto kong makita kung gaano kasinsero ang tao na 'yon o ako din."

For actress Andi Eigenmann, a good onscreen chemistry is not only spawned by a real life romantic relationship between the involved actors. But rather, she says, it can also be formed by simply having a good platonic relationship with one another. Andi during her joint live appearance with Galema co-star Matteo Guidicelli on The Buzz on Sunday believes that such was the case between them. Their upcoming fantasy-drama soap isn't actually their first project together for three years ago Andi and Matteo have starred on the hit fantasy-drama serye Agua Bendita. "I guess that just goes to show na nung time nga na yun bata pa kami even yung relationship namin, walang ano yun, platonic lang talaga," Andi clarified. But Andi was quick to clarify that it's not about the Fil-Italian not being her type. "I guess yung samin naman ni Matteo kahit na walang boyfriend or girlfriend kami nun. Hindi naman po talaga ganon [na hindi namin type ang isa't-isa] pero hindi naman po ibig sabihin na just because we work together we have to fall in love with each other," she explained. While she isn't entirely against those onscreen tandems that eventually fall in love on set, Andi underscored that for them, they can just be "amazing friends to one another" yet be able to work with each other with so much ease. This kind of simple setup however couldn't be said for Andi's personal love life involving the special guy in her life, Jake Ejercito. For the past, Andi has been very open in publicly expressing how special to her the son of Manila Mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada to former actress Laarni Enriquez is. But for reasons she did not disclose, Andi, in a previous push.com.ph report, vaguely expressed that they can't be a couple just yet for she would first have to prove herself to some people, what with the controversies that she got involved with in the recent years. The most recent of which that Andi has repeatedly denied was her involvement in the Billy Crawford-Nikki Gil breakup, wherein she was tagged as the rumored third party. Despite all the recent string of events, Andi happily shared that she and Jake, who flew in the country recently for a day, are currently "okay." When asked for the progress of her goal to "prove something" to certain individuals, Andi noted that "there's no time limit for that." "Hindi siya natatapos, hindi pa siya natatapos but that's okay with me. What I mean is gusto ko pong patunayan yung sarili ko na seryoso po ako sa trabaho ko. Na mahal ko po ang trabaho ko and i'm not here para makabuo ng ibang buhay na hindi naman talaga kasali sakin," she explained.

Rumors linking the two Kapamilya stars began when Guidicelli and Geronimo had a series of shows in the United States in June. Matteo Guidicelli clears up rumored romance with Sarah Geronimo

People have been speculating about Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo ever since they developed an onstage chemistry during their recent concert tour in the US. “We just had good shows in America. It’s a great experience performing with the Popstar Princess. I admire everything about her. She’s a wonderful person. I appreciate that people appreciate what I did in the States. I’m very blessed to have worked with them,” he said in an interview with Push.com.ph. But the actor/triathlete insisted that he doesn’t have any bad blood with his former Paraiso co-star. “We don’t have anything na masama together. We’re still friends. We work together for [an endorsement]. As long as she’s happy with what she does, I wish her the best. I know she’s a wonderful person. She’s a strong person.” Asked if he’s holding back out of his fear of falling in love, Matteo answered, “Hindi naman ako takot [ma in love]. Marami lang ako priorities—yung soap, TV show, Ironman—they take so much time. Everyday nagigising ako 5 a.m., natutulog ako ng maaga. It’s all about knowing your priority and what’s best for you.” He added that making a commitment is not something that needs to be rushed. “It’s not that there’s no time for love. I am just not looking for it. Hopefully, one day it will come. God will give it to us. You don’t have to look for it. It will come, someday.”
