MANILA – Actress Jackie Forster said she is still mulling to come out and break her silence after her former husband, PBA legend Benjie Paras, denied that he is prohibiting their two sons to see her.
In a message sent to “The Buzz” via Twitter, Forster said she is currently fixing something for Andre and Kobe, adding that her next steps will depend on how her sons will react after seeing what she’s been preparing.
“I will contact my advisor muna. For the meantime, you can say that I am putting a video together for my sons. Maybe after they have seen it, we will decide if we still need to come in for a live interview,” she told “The Buzz.”
Forster said she is willing to fly to the Philippines “from anywhere to try to put an end to all the negativity.”
Last month, Forster cried foul after watching an interview of Andre and Kobe, asking her to give them space and explaining that they were traumatized of what she did in the past.
Andre added fuel to the fire was he expressed their love to their stepmother, Lyxen Diomampo.
Paras, however, maintained that he is not prohibiting his sons from seeing their mother.
"Yung mga anak ko ang magde-decide niyan... Hindi po ako ang may ayaw. Matatanda na po ang anak ko at madami (lang kasing) matatalinong tao na nakikisawsaw sa social media," Paras said.
"Ang mga bata ay hindi po pwedeng turuan kung ano ang sasabihin nila. Marunong na silang magsalita, may buhay na sila at sariling pakiramdam. So, kung ano man ang ginagawa nila sila ang magde-decide noon at wala akong idi-decide doon," the athlete-turned-comedian added.
Paras even said he was also caught by surprise with the interview, adding that he was also hurt with what his sons said about their biological mother.
Paras stressed that what happened in the past between him and Forster has already been fixed.
The marriage of Paras and Forster was annulled in 2013. After their separation, Paras was granted full custody of their sons.
Forster, on the other hand, has also moved on with her life as she is now living in Malaysia with her Dutch businessman partner and their child.
