MANILA -- Actress Marian Rivera does not mind those who are comparing the success of her movie with Ai Ai delas Alas with the box office hit of her boyfriend, Dingdong Dantes.
Rivera admitted that "Kung Fu Divas" did not earn as much as "She's the One" starring Dantes, Bea Alonzo and Enrique Gil, but she maintained that it still did well in cinemas.
"Okay lang, ganoon talaga ang buhay. Hindi naman sa lahat ng pagkakataon ay kailangang blockbuster ka o ganito. Ang importante ay masaya kami ni Ate Ai Ai, kami ng direktor at kung anuman 'yung income. May mga taga-ibang bansa na gustong kunin ang pelikula namin. Aaminin ko na kumita kami, hindi nga lang malaki," Rivera told ABS-CBNNews.com on Wednesday.
She added that she is happy for the success of her boyfriend's movie project.
"Lahat naman ng movie ni Dong successful, happy ako para sa kanya," she said.
The actress added that what is more important is that she and Dantes remain happy as a couple.
"Masaya kami. Walang sikreto, siguro totoong pagmamahal at pagbibigayan, siguro mas maganda kung totoo 'yung nararamdaman talaga," she said.
While her movie was not a box office hit, Rivera said this will not stop her from producing more films.
"Oo naman, hindi ako madadala, Siguro sa magandang proyekto pag-aaralan mabuti dahil hindi din biro ang nilalabas ng isang producer," she said.
