Karylle, Jugs, Teddy named 'Magpasikat' champions

Team TKJ to donate part of winnings to quake victims MANILA - The mind-boggling performance by the trio of Teddy Corpuz, Karylle and Jugs Jugueta earned them the title of "Magpasikat Week" champions after getting a perfect score of 10 from the judges to cap off the 4th Anniversary Week of "It's Showtime." Collectively called "Team TKJ," the group on Tuesday puzzled then wowed the audience and their co-hosts with a number that, when played backwards, revealed the real performance. "Parang akong nakakita ng apparition," said judge Ai-Ai delas Alas after Team TKJ's performance. "Pero nang-na-rewind, hayop ang nakaisip nito! Ang talino!" As the Magpasikat Week champions, the trio won P200,000 for the White Cross Children's Home in San Juan. The three also revealed that part of their winnings would go to the victims of the 7.2-magnitude earthquake in Bohol. "Sa mga kababayan na naapektuhan po ng lindol sa Bohol, para sa inyo po tong performance na to," said Corpuz. "Gusto po namin iparating ang pagmamahal ng 'Showtime' sa inyo," said Karylle, who teamed up with the duo of Corpuz and Jugueta for the first time. Placing second and third were the duo of Vice Ganda and Kim Atienza; and the team of Vhong Navarro, Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia, taking home P150,000 and P100,000 for their chosen charity, respectively. Vice Ganda, who had to perform without Atienza due to the latter's health condition, impressed the judges with acrobatic and aerial stunts. Navarro, Crawford and Garcia, meanwhile, performed a techno-inspired dance number. The two remaining teams -- the tandems of Anne Curtis and Jhong Hilario, and Ryan Bang and Eric "Eruption" Tai -- received consolation prizes for their chosen charities. ABS-CBN Foundation's Sagip Kapamilya was named the common benefactor for all the teams in order to further help the quake-hit victims.
