MANILA -- Actress Jodi Sta. Maria, star of the hit kilig-serye "Be Careful With My Heart", has been confined at a hospital due to dengue fever.
According to ABS-CBN Business Unit Head Ginny Ocampo, Sta. Maria has been sick since last week.
"Late last week pa may sakit si Jodi and we just learned yesterday (Tuesday) that she has dengue. We are praying for her fast recovery," she said.
On Tuesday's episode of "Be Careful With My Heart", some netizens expressed disappointment as they didn't get a glimpse of their favorite character Maya.
Last Monday via Twitter, Sta. Maria's leading man, Richard Yap asked his followers to pray for the actress' recovery.
"Packed up already! Let's all pray Jodi gets well soon . Thank you!," Yap said.
