Business as usual for Sunshine after filing case

MANILA – Life goes on for actress Sunshine Cruz after she made the news when she filed a complaint-affidavit before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court on Tuesday morning in an Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children case against her estranged husband, actor Cesar Montano. On Wednesday, Cruz had no trace of loneliness when she arrived at the ABS-CBN studio for the pictorial of her upcoming television series “Galema.” In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Cruz said she had to put aside all her personal problems because she needs to work for her three daughters. “I need to save to buy a house for me and my kids. Ako naman ever since, ang feeling ko blessing itong mga projects na dumadating sa akin kasi siyempre kapag busy tayo sa mga ganitong bagay, hindi tayo nakaka-focus sa kung ano man ang mga suliranin at problemang dumadating sa atin,” she said. Cruz said she also draws strength from her family and friends who are supporting her amid her legal battles. According to Cruz, she will not back off from this fight, adding that she’s willing to risk everything just to see her daughters. During the course of the interview, Cruz shared that she received a message from her eldest daughter just before she went to the photo shoot. “Sabi niya, ‘I miss you, I love you mommy.’ You all know how I protected Cesar kasi he’s still the father of my children. I’ve told everybody that he’s a good father to the kids. Despite everything, Cruz never told her kids to hate their father. I have been telling them to always respect their dad because tatay nila iyon,” she said.
