James Yap not in favor of Bimby's movie?

MANILA – Basketball star James Yap seems to have reservations when asked about the news that James "Bimby" Yap Jr., his son with TV host Kris Aquino, is making his movie debut. Last month, Aquino announced that her son has been cast in the movie "Torky and My Little Bossing," which is among the eight official entries to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Apart from Bimby, the movie also features child star Ryzza Mae Dizon and comedian-TV host Vic Sotto. Initially refusing to comment on the matter, Yap then told ABS-CBN News that it would have been better if he was informed about Bimby’s movie project. Yap explained that all he is asking for is respect since he is still the father of the six-year-old boy. So sana man lang i-consult or ipaalam man lang. Ako naman madali naman akong kausap. Wala naman problema, pero respeto lang sana kung maaari,” he said. On Monday, Yap and Aquino faced each other in court anew to talk about the former’s rights to visit Bimby. While both parties refused to give details about the hearing, citing a gag order, the former spouses said they are happy with how it turned out. "This will really benefit my son very much," Aquino said. Yap, for his part, hopes to have a bigger say on raising Bimby.
