MANILA – More than three months since her parents expressed their disapproval of her relationship with Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, actress Heart Evangelista revealed she has yet to talk to her mom and dad.
In an interview with entertainment website Pep.com.ph, Evangelista admitted she still has some down moments since she misses her parents, especially her dad.
“I miss my dad very much, and I still have my moments na siyempre umiiyak pa rin ako. Eventually, time will heal everything na maayos din lahat. Everything will just fall into place. Si Lord na siguro ang bahala kung ano ang gusto niyang mangyari talaga,” she said.
According to Evangelista, she already moved out of her condominium unit in the same building where her parents also live.
“Nakapaglipat na ako ng sariling bahay ko sa Quezon City, malapit sa trabaho ko. Naayos ko na lahat. Minsan mahirap talaga, pero madami akong natutunan,” she said.
The actress said she is learning a lot from living alone, adding that this will also help her prepare in case she finally decides to settle down.
“Kaya ko na siguro, pero hindi pa ngayon. May mga times na nagbi-breakdown pa ako. Siyempre, kasi-settle ko pa lang sa bahay ko and sobrang biglang may nangyari or something, biglang may nawawalang mga gamit… naiiyak pa ako kasi naguguluhan pa ako, so adjusting pa ako. Pero I guess that’s part of growing,” she said.
Asked if Escudero is already the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with, Evangelista said: “Oo naman. Sana naman, pinagpi-pray ko 'yan na sana siya na talaga. Ayaw ko na talaga ng iba pa, siya na lang talaga.”
Evangelista said she and Escudero have already gone through a lot such that she believes they can deal with anything that may come their way.
“Ngayon ko lang din natutunan na you know in a relationship you really work hard. Nalampasan na kasi namin 'yun so kahit ano pang dumating after that madali-dali na lang. Pero kung meron pa kaming mga adjustment with each other, you really work on it,” she said.
She added: “It’s nice to be in a relationship with someone, and you work on it because you love each other. So sana siya na nga talaga.”
It was October of last year when Escudero admitted his relationship with Evangelista.
