Jessica shares experiences while taping 'Glee'

MANILA – The hit American musical TV series “Glee” has unveiled a behind-the-scenes video of its season finale featuring Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez. Uploaded in the video-sharing site YouTube, Sanchez related in the less than two-minute clip her experience when she taped her second appearance on the said show. “I absolutely love both of the songs. It’s so much fun. The choreography that they made up is just perfect for the songs so I’m just feeling it, getting into the groove,” she said. Set to air this Friday (Manila time), the “American Idol” runner-up will be giving life to the character of Frida Romero as she sings Zedd’s “Clarity” and Little Mix’s “Wings.” Being a self-confessed “Glee” fan, Sanchez said meeting the cast was absolutely an amazing experience for her. “I’ve always been a big fan of ‘Glee.’ Being here and actually seeing them in person, I did get starstrucked. It’s crazy. I see them on TV all the time. It feels weird,” she said. Meanwhile, “Glee” mainstays Darren Criss – who is also half-Filipino -- and Becca Tobin only had good words for the “American Idol” runner-up. “Jessica Sanchez is killing it in the Hoosierdaddies,” said Tobin, who plays the role of Kitty. As for Criss, he said: “Jessica Sanchez is on our show. She’s a talent juggernaut. She’s from the Fox family, she’s from American Idol. I was like ‘Is that voice coming out of her body?’ It’s amazing.” Sanchez was first seen on “Glee” last April 26 (Manila time) although it was only for a few seconds. During her brief appearance, Sanchez was featured belting out a part of the American national anthem as New Directions coach Will Schuester was shown spying on her.
