Sarah overjoyed after CNN's iReport noticed movie

MANILA – Sarah Geronimo could not believe that someone in the United States would take time to contribute to CNN’s iReport about the phenomenal success of her latest movie “It Takes a Man and a Woman.” In ireport.cnn.com, a contributor posted four photos of moviegoers enduring long lines to watch the romantic-comedy flick. The post said: “What is the magic? People falling in line fr CA, to NYC to Texas, Virginia, Canada etc, people driving 3-8 hrs just to watch this movie to venues where it is showing. So what is this movie really?” Geronimo, who starred in the movie along with John Lloyd Cruz, told ABS-CBN News on Tuesday how overwhelming it is to see an entry about her movie in the online portal of the respected international news organization. “Ang galing. Hindi ko akalain na mapapansin tayo ng CNN. Grabe sobrang overjoyed. Salamat sa lahat ng mga kababayan natin sa America and even sa Middle East. Talagang tinatanggap itong pelikulang ito. Hindi ko inasahan, grabe ang galing. Unexpected ito,” she said. The third installment in the series of romantic-comedy films starring Cruz and Geronimo has already earned almost P330 million as of Sunday night and is now poised to become the second-highest grossing Filipino movie after only two weeks in theaters. Aside from its screenings in the country, “It Takes a Man and a Woman” also opened today in US and Canada and on April 18 in the Middle East.
