MANILA, Philippines -- Actress-host Kris Aquino and her sons Joshua and James "Bimby" Yap Jr. have met Pope Francis during their recent trip to Rome.
Aquino, who returned to the country last Friday after a two-week vacation in Europe with her sons, gave away gifts from her trip on her morning show "KrisTV" on Monday.
"Ito gift ko sa iyo ...rosary na na-bless ni Pope," Aquino told guest co-host Melai Cantiveros, who turned 30 last Saturday.
"Abangan niyo po sa Wednesday. Doon ko po ipapakita 'yung pictures na na-bless kami ni Pope -- ako, si Bimby, tapos si Josh inabutan siya ng rosary ni Pope," Aquino added.
Aside from the rosary, Aquino also handed a "miraculous medal" to Cantiveros to give it to former boyfriend Jason Francisco.
"Please give this to Jason. Kasi sa gitna ng mga pagsubok sa buhay. ano ba ang pinakaimportanteng gawin? Magdasal. So noong nagpunta ako sa Our Lady of Lourdes sa France, ito 'yung miraculous medal kinuha ko siya nito kasi 'yung prayer, yung Memorare, basta daw idadasal mo ‘yon at panatag ang faith mo and talagang sincere ka ay iga-grant ni Mama Mary talaga through her intercession 'yung mga ipinagdarasal mo kay God. So dapat kapag may problemang pinagdaraanan ay palaging idasal 'yon para ma-solve ang problema," Aquino explained.
Francisco recently made headlines when he punched actor John Prats for allegedly bullying Cantiveros on the set of "Banana Split." The bullying allegation, however, was denied by Prats.
Cantiveros has yet to talk about the incident.
Without mentioning the punching incident, Aquino gave Cantiveros some unsolicited advice.
"Melai, kung ano man ang mangyayari sa inyong dalawa, kung magtutuloy-tuloy ang pag-ibig, sana kung ano man 'yung problema along the way, ayusin niyo muna para tuloy tuloy ang pagmamahalan at lahat ng nagmamahal sa iyo ay matutuwa na may nagmamahal sa iyo," Aquino said.
Cantiveros then thanked to Aquino for always being there for her and for Francisco.
"Thank you for always being there for us. Lagi ka talagang nandiyan, thank you very much. I love you talaga, Ms. Kris," Cantiveros said.
