Daniel Padilla nervous about solo concert

MANILA – After a much-deserved break in Subic, teen star Daniel Padilla is now on a roll again as he prepares for his upcoming solo concert to happen later this month. In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Padilla admitted that he’s more nervous than excited to take the stage on his own for the first time. “Kinakabahan ako eh. Hindi ako nae-excite, kinakabahan talaga ako. May concert pa pala, nawala sa isip ko,” he said. VIP tickets for Padilla’s birthday concert were reportedly sold out only two hours after they were released. Padilla is turning 18 on April 26, or four days before his concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on April 30. “Siyempre kailangan kong paghandaan. Iniisip siguro nila talagang magandang concert ito. Siyempre nagbayad sila dito so hindi puwedeng bastang concert lang. Kailangan handa and maganda ang preparation na gagawin mo. Dapat sulit talaga,” he said. Padilla vowed to do what it takes to make his solo concert memorable for his fans -- except for one thing. “Hindi ako sasayaw, never akong sasayaw. Kakanta ako," he said. "Hindi lang ito ordinaryong concert, sobra siyang masaya. Napag-meeting-an na rin namin kung paano. Kakaiba ito sa ibang mga concert.” Padilla revealed he will also share a production number with "Must Be... Love" co-star Kathryn Bernardo. “Gusto lang sana manonood lang siya pero siyempre hindi naman puwede. Mayroon [kaming number] kaya siyempre kailangan nilang abangan iyon,” he said. Tickets are now available at Ticketnet outlets and at Smart Araneta Coliseum Box Office. “Sa mga hindi pa bumibili, bili na kayo,” Padilla added.
