“American Idol” Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez will return to the “American Idol” stage to perform a duet with R&B star Ne-Yo during the Top 9 results show on Thursday (Friday morning in Manila).
The 17-year-old Filipino-Mexican-American will premiere “(Give Me Everything) Tonight”, her single from her upcoming debut album “You, Me, and The Music”.
Her guest appearance will come one week after Season 11 winner Philip Phillips performed on the show.
Last month, Jessica told Philippine media that her album will be youth-oriented and quite unlike the mostly adult contemporary repertoire that she became identified with on “American Idol” last year.
“It will show the more fun, more pop side of me. While there are a couple of ballads, it’s mostly all about music you can move and dance to,” she said.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that her long-awaited debut on the hit musical series “Glee” will finally happen on May 2. The report said Jessica will play the recurring role of a “legendary singer” from a competing high school.
