EXCLUSIVE: Kathryn Bernardo's mom is ok with her daughter's 'MU' status with Daniel Padilla

All set for the start of their nationwide screening of their movie Must Be Love on March 13, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo have been on a whirlwind promotional tour, guesting on top Kapamilya shows like It’s Showtime, Gandang Gabi Vice, ASAP, Minute To Win It, Kris TV, and Bandila among others. Kathryn's mom Min is a witness to how hardworking the two teens are. Sabi ni Kath mahirap mag-expect pero gagawin pa rin nila yung best nila,” she shared in an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph. After spending almost two weeks shooting the movie at locations like Plantation Bay and Tops in Cebu City,

Kathryn's mom admitted the two actors were surprised to see the extent to which their fans were willing to show support for them. One of the most memorable scenes that was shot for the movie was a dance sequence.

Two hours lang sila nag-rehearse pero it was one of the last scenes to be shot,” she said. Because of their love team Kathniel's fast-rising popularity, Mommy Min admitted she always advises the two to remain humble despite the fame. Now that Kathryn and DJ have admitted to having an “MU” status, how did she feel about the revelation? The doting mother admitted that she and DJ have definitely grown closer since last year.

Mommy Min said that she has no problem with her daughter's new relationship status because she is close to the both of them. Kasi pag wala ako, wala silang taga-bayad (laughs),” she joked. Although DJ and Kath have always been known for their “kulitan” moments even off-cam, Kath's mom said the two also have a lot of downtime especially when they're on the road. Mommy Min said her “bunso” has definitely grown up from her days on Goin' Bulilit. “Dati pag umuuwi kami galing taping, hindi yan makatulog mag-isa sa room niya, nagpapasama yan. Ngayon may nakikita akong kausap yan sa phone or may ka-Facetime na friends niya, kaya mas binibigyan ko siya ng personal space niya,” she said. Kath's mom also admitted she tries her best to give her daughter advice when it comes to relationships, especially since 16-year-old Kath has never had a boyfriend. Mommy Min also shared what she wishes for her daughter. Gusto ko naman magbago na tipong I ask her why doesn't she aim high? Gusto ko i-level up na nya yung sarili niya,” she admitted. Despite Kath's popularity, the teen actress is still very shy in person. “When it comes to singing may boses naman siya pero hindi mo yan basta-basta mapapakanta. Bilib ako sa kanya,” she said. One of the most interesting facts about the two stars of Must Be Love is their growing number of couple items, which range from simple accessories to clothes and even shoes which they have been spotted wearing together on several occasions. Catch Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in Star Cinema's Must Be Love, showing on March 13 in theaters nationwide.
