The 45th annual Comic-Con International is upon us! For those who won’t be making the pilgrimage to San Diego for the action-packed pop culture convention full of panels and events celebrating the biggest stars in comics, genre movies and television series, MTV News has got you covered.
We are pleased to announce that we will be taking you to the center of everything with our Comic-Con takeover with three live-stream broadcasts on Thursday (July 12), Friday (July 13) and Saturday (July 14) at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT, hosted by MTV News’ Josh Horowitz.
We’re kicking off our coverage on Thursday with a two-hour show dedicated to “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” Tune into MTV.com at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT for a veritable feast of “Twilight” goodness that will feature exclusive live interviews with the film’s superstars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, as well as Mackenzie Foy, Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone. We’ll also be on the ground reporting from the “Breaking Dawn” panel and bringing you all the other tidbits associated with the film’s Comic-Con events.
Friday and Saturday’s live broadcasts will be just as enticing as our “Breaking Dawn”-themed show. Expect to see interviews with your favorite stars and filmmakers, who will stop by our studio to chat about the biggest and most buzz-worthy films and TV shows heading to theaters and television sets near you. Friday’s broadcast will feature extended interviews with the casts of “The Expendables 2″ and “Dredd,” as well as Tim Burton and Sam Raimi.
Saturday’s live stream will bring Comic-Con to a close with an A-list finale to include interviews with Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Jessica Biel, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt and Anna Kendrick. Even better, “Lost” producer and “Prometheus” writer Damon Lindelof will join Horowitz as a guest co-host to talk about his upcoming projects and all things Comic-Con. We’ll also sit down with the casts of “The Walking Dead,” “Community,” “Resident Evil” and MTV’s own “Teen Wolf.”
