Hmmm… Robert Pattinson was spotted out on the town with rumored gal pal Dylan Penn Wednesday evening in Los Angeles. The two were both at a private party for the launch of Angie Banicki's new book 30 Before 30 at the Spare Room inside of the Roosevelt Hotel. And while the evening outing wasn't exactly a date night, the two were definitely together and hanging out in the same small clique. A source tells E! News that R.Pattz and Penn left around the same time after mingling with guests by the bar area and the back room. A second insider says that the Brit was quite the spectacle at the intimate gathering. "Girls were all flirting with him," explained the eyewitness. Both left separately, according to the insider, but were with the same group of approximately four people throughout the night. Of course, it would be far too obvious if the duo packed on the PDA during the party, so we're told that they remained friendly and not touchy-feely whatsoever. When the Penn rumors first surfaced in late September, insiders told us that it would be premature to label them as anything more than friends. But things could have definitely changed since then. The two were seen driving in separate cars after secretly meeting up for a few hours. But don't get too excited Robsten fans, we're told by a source close to the Twilight hunk that the meeting was nothing more than friendly. A source told E! News that while "there was lots of animosity after the split," the two have "moved on and gradually gotten over it." The insider added that "they are cordial now" and that pals "honestly believe they will not get back together."

Robert Pattinson and Sean Penn's daughter, Dylan, one of several young ladies who've been caught keeping the Twilight star company recently, were first spotted hanging out a few weeks ago. The pair partied at the Viper Room in West Hollywood together on Sept. 7, Rob in his usual ensemble of pants, T-shirt and baseball cap and Dylan, with her blond hair pulled back, bearing a striking resemblance to mom Robin Wright. After watching Mickey Avalon at the Viper Room they reportedly hit Chateau Marmont, which is just down the road, to cap off the night with snacks and drinks. Despite reports that the pair are dating, however, we're continuing to hear that it would be premature to label them as anything more than friends at this point. A source says that the two—who, incidentally, met through Rob's ex, Kristen Stewart—have hung out a few times but are not steadily dating. Meanwhile, Rob's been out to Chateau a few nights this week with groups that did not include the 22-year-old Dylan. So for now, we can lump Dylan in with the various other women whom Rob is not romancing, including Riley Keough, Sia and trainer Sydney Liebes. (Though Liebes does have a special relationship with the 27-year-old actor—she's whipping him into shape!) And though he rarely hurts for companionship, Pattinson, who broke up with Stewart in May after about three years of dating, does venture out alone at times. He headed to the gym all by himself just yesterday! The British actor most recently reteamed with Cosmopolis director David Cronenberg on the Hollywood satire Maps to the Stars, which was shooting in L.A. over the summer.
