Chris Brown Turns Tables, Countersues Man for Assault Over Fight With Frank Ocean Entourage

Chris Brown, Court

Chris Brown maintains that he's the victim in this case. The R&B star, who checked into treatment last week, has filed a countersuit for assault and battery against a member of Frank Ocean's entourage who previously sued Brown over a fight they were involved in last January. The new lawsuit, filed TK in L.A. Superior Court and obtained by E! News, alleges that Sha'Keir M. Duarte approached Brown in the parking lot outside a recording studio in West Hollywood and threatened to kill the "Run It" singer, making "gestures with his hands and fists to signal that he was ready to strike Mr. Brown in the face and on the body." Duarte was "surrounded by an entourage" and acted "without provocation," Brown's suit alleges. The complaint then contends that Duarte pushed, kicked and punched Brown. The defendant's "outrageous and despicable" conduct calculatedly intended to provoke Brown so that Duarte could play the victim and "demand a cash payout," the suit continues. Brown's countersuit states that Duarte had demanded $2 million to cover "his so-called 'emotional injuries.'" In a lawsuit filed Aug. 13, Duarte alleged that an associate of Brown's punched him in a dispute between Brown and Ocean's entourages over a parking space—and that Brown encouraged his pal to "get that n---er" during the brawl. Duarte's attorney has not yet responded to a request for comment. Brown's countersuit states that Duarte had demanded $2 million to cover "his so-called 'emotional injuries.'" Chris Brown Ordered Released From Jail, Assault Charge Reduced

Chris Brown, Court

Chris Brown knows the drill. During his appearance today in a Washington, D.C., courtroom, a judge reduced the felony assault charge the singer was facing for allegedly punching a man in the face during a fight that broke out early Sunday morning and ordered Brown released from custody. He is now scheduled to return to court to answer to a charge of simple misdemeanor assault on Nov. 25 and he must stay away from the alleged victim, 20-year-old Parker Isaac Adams, in the meantime. According to authorities, the altercation took place just before 4:30 a.m., local time, near the W Hotel. The alleged victim needed medical attention for his injuries, the extent of which led to the initial felony charge. Another man, 35-year-old Christopher Hollosy, had also been charged with assault. "I'm not down with that gay s--t," Brown was heard saying before allegedly hitting Adams after the younger man tried to squeeze into a photo with the singer and two other people, according to the police report obtained by E! News. Brown also said, "I feel like boxing," per the report. Brown has denied hitting Adams, according to a witness statement obtained by TMZ. The F.A.M.E. artist, who has one year of probation left stemming from his 2009 assault on Rihanna, spent the night in jail and remained in custody leading up to his arraignment. Brown's mother, Joyce Hawkins, was in the courtroom to support her son, as was rapper Trey Songz. A number of fans wielding "Free Chris!" signs showed up outside as well. "Mr. Brown committed no crime," his attorney, Danny Onorato, told E! News after the hearing. "We understand that his security staff acted to protect Mr. Brown and his property as is authorized by District of Columbia law. We are confident that Mr. Brown will be exonerated of any wrongdoing."The 24-year-old's probation was temporarily revoked following his involvement in an alleged hit-and-run accident. The charge was ultimately dropped but a judge gave him 1,000 hours of community service to perform when he reinstated his probation. Also earlier this year, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office called into question whether Brown had legitimately completed the 180 days of community labor he was sentenced to as part of his 2009 plea deal. Brown was supposed to host a costume party on Halloween at L.A. Live, but there's no word yet on whether that's still on his schedule.

Chris Brown: He Needs Rehab and Intensive Therapy, Source Says

Chris Brown, Today

Chris Brown's family and friends are worried about him. Many on Brown's team think it's time for rehab and intensive therapy, a source exclusively reveals. "He's a good kid, but he keeps messing up," the source said. "He needs help. He keeps self-medicating with weed and alcohol and that's when he always gets in trouble." The source says concerns escalated after he was arrested in Washington, D.C. this weekend for alleging punching a man who wanted his autograph. "No one is making excuses for Chris," the source said. "No one is condoning what he has done. But what people don't realize is how bad it's gotten for him. He has all this money and success and he keeps apologizing, but he continues to be one of the most hated people in the business. He gets depressed and then self-medicates. He has a lot of yes-people around him who don't want to help. They just want the money and want to have a good time." Brown and one of his bodyguards were arrested and charged with felony assault early yesterday morning. According to DC Metro Police Communications Director Gwendolyn Crump, police were called after a fight ensued outside of the W Hotel at around 4:25 a.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital, and was treated and later released. Brown also allegedly hurled a gay slur at the victim. The source insists he's not homophobic. "He's not anti-gay at all," the source said. "He's around gay people all the time. But is he politically incorrect? Yes." A rep for Brown could not be reached for comment. The Grammy-winner is currently serving probation stemming from his 2009 assault incident with his then-girlfriend Rihanna. His probation will end in a year's time, on Aug. 25, 2014. Any arrest could be considered a violation of this probation, which could result in jail time. A judge revoked Brown's probation and gave him 1,000 additional hours of community service in August after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident earlier this summer. Referring to the judge's ruling as vindictive, Brown said, "Community service, that s--t is a b-tch. I'll be honest – and you can quote me on that – that is a motherf--ker there. For me, I think it's more of a power trip for the DA. I can speak freely now, because I don't really care what they say about it, but as far as, like, the 1,000 extra hours they gave me, that's totally fricking bananas."

Chris Brown Says He Lost His Virginity at 8 Years Old, Slams His Latest Community Service Order

Chris Brown, Rihanna, Grammys

Chris Brown is getting candid. In an interview with the UK Guardian, the 24-year-old "Love More" crooner opened up about losing his virginity at a really early age, his infamous beating incident with Rihanna and why he thinks his latest community service order is a "b-tch." Brown, who lost his virginity at age eight to a girl who was 14 or 15, told the mag with a chuckle, "It's different in the country," adding that he and his friends watched a lot of porn. "By that point, we were already kind of like hot to trot, you know what I'm saying? Like, girls, we weren't afraid to talk to them; I wasn't afraid. So, at eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it. You can be the best at it." The singer also knew early on that he wanted to be a singer, and was discovered by a record producer when he was only 13. While Brown's career took off when he released his double-platinum debut album Chris Brown at 15, things took a turn for the worst in February 2009 when the Battle of the Year star got into a physical altercation with his then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown called the incident "probably the biggest wake-up call for me," saying, "I had to stop acting like a little teenager, a crazy, wild young guy." Since that incident, he has gone on to win a Grammy, and release three more albums, saying he wanted to prove people wrong—that he could make a comeback after it. And although it seems he accomplished that goal, Brown hit another snag in August when a judge revoked his probation and gave him 1,000 additional hours of community service after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident earlier this summer. Referring to the judge's "comprise" ruling as vindictive, Brown said, "Community service, that sh-t is a b-tch. I'll be honest – and you can quote me on that – that is a motherf--ker there. For me, I think it's more of a power trip for the DA. I can speak freely now, because I don't really care what they say about it, but as far as, like, the 1,000 extra hours they gave me, that's totally fricking bananas." "They want me to be the example," Brown went on. "Young black kids don't have the fairer chances. You can see Lindsay Lohan in and out of court every day, you see Charlie Sheen, whoever else, do what they want to do." "There hasn't been any incident that I started since I got on probation, even with the Frank Ocean fight, the Drake situation, all those were defense modes," he went on. "People think I just walk around as the aggressor, this mad black guy, this angry, young, troubled kid, but I'm not. I'm more and more laid-back. It's just that people know if they push a button, it'll make more news than their music. Attaching themselves to me, good or bad, will benefit them." As far as where Brown sees himself in the future, he said he wants to be "wealthy" and "sell ground-breaking numbers on an album." Perhaps that success will come with his next album, X, which he describes as "musically sound, diverse" with a "lot of different genres attached." X is set to hit stores Nov. 19.

Kanye West Gets Advice From Chris Brown After Jimmy Kimmel Feud: "S--t Ain't Cool!"

Kanye West, Chris Brown, Jimmy Kimmel

Kanye West is getting some advice from—wait for it—Chris Brown in the wake of his fiery feud with Jimmy Kimmel. One day after Kim Kardashian's man exploded on Kimmel after the talk show host spoofed one of his interviews, Brown had these words for West to follow. "@kanyewest hire some security or some street ni--as to take care of the bulls--t so u not explaining Yaself," Brown tweeted today. But that's not all. "I hate how the media makes us look like aggressive animals," he also wrote on the social networking site. "On some real shit If those cameras on ya property that means its trespassing." Brown added, "S--t ain't cool!" In defense of Brown's security advice, West hasn't had the best luck with paparazzi. The Yeezus star is currently in a legal battle after attacking a pap at LAX airport over the summer. Brown's comments come in the wake of yesterday's big Kanye-Kimmel drama, where West went on a Twitter rant attacking Kimmel for spoofing him on his show. "JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS," he wrote. "JIMMY KIMMEL, I DON'T TAKE IT AS A JOKE... YOU DON'T HAVE SCUM BAGS HOPPING OVER FENCES TRYING TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR DAUGHTER," he continued. "YOU CAN'T PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES. YOUR FACE LOOKS CRAZY...IS THAT FUNNY?...OR IF I HAD A KID SAY IT WOULD BE FUNNY???" "SHOULD I DO A SPOOF ABOUT YOUR FACE OR YOU F--KING BEN AFFLECK…#NODISRESPECTTOBENAFFLECK #ALLDISRESPECTTOJIMMYKIMMEL!!!!" he went on. West continued the attacks earlier today, writing, "Jimmy K. is the EVIL guy trying to keep people in a box and not want more out of themselves. He does this by making fun of real dreamers." Kimmel, for his part, kept things light and responded to West today, tweeting: "I challenge you to a rap battle @kanyewest #Iplaytheclarinet"

Chris Brown gets 1,000 extra hours community service

LOS ANGELES, August 17, 2013 (AFP) - Singer Chris Brown was ordered to perform 1,000 hours community service Friday after his probation stemming from the 2009 assault on his then girlfriend Rihanna was restored, officials said. The 24-year-old R&B star's probation was revoked last month after he was hit with misdemeanor charges following a minor traffic accident. Those charges were dismissed on Thursday and on Friday Los Angeles Superior Court judge James Brandlin restored his probation. The reinstated probation order was conditional on Brown completing 1,000 hours of community labor, in addition to the 180 days he had already been ordered to perform. Judge Brandlin said Brown would be put to work in one of four programs -- highway clean-up, beach clean-up, graffiti removal or a program run by the probation department. The order came after prosecutors questioned whether Brown had in fact completed the initial 180-day period of community service he was sentenced to. They cited "significant discrepancies" in his work record. However the singer's lawyer contested the allegation, saying prosecutors "chose to ignore the actual evidence in an effort to find someone, anyone, to say he was not working." In 2009 Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting fellow singer Rihanna earlier that year on the eve of the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. © 1994-2013 Agence France-Presse

Chris Brown Sued by Frank Ocean's Cousin Over Alleged Parking Space Beatdown

Frank Ocean's beef with Chris Brown is a family matter now. A cousin of the Channel Orange artist is suing Brown, claiming he ended up as so much collateral damage during an alleged scuffle the singers had over a parking space back in January, according to court documents obtained by E! News. Following the reported rumble, Ocean claimed to have suffered a cut finger and Brown was seen sporting a cast on his hand. The L.A. County Sheriff's Department investigated the incident and no charges were filed. In a lawsuit filed today in L.A. Superior Court, Sha'keir Duarte claims that a guy who was with Brown, identified as a defendant in the lawsuit as "Hood," menacingly approached him, asked, "Is there a problem, cuz?" and then punched him after Ocean asked Brown if he was parked in his spot outside of an L.A. recording studio. Duarte alleges that, as he was punched, he heard Brown yell, "Get that [N-word]!" which Duarte took to be referring to himself. The plaintiff further contends in his complaint that "Hood" then "commenced to beat and kick him about the head as he lay on the ground," ultimately kicking Duarte "at least 12" times. After a studio employee yelled at them to stop, Duarte's suit continues, Hood then shouted, "You just got handled," and Brown yelled, "You just got your ass beat and it's on camera." Duarte is asking for damages in excess of $25,000, alleging battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and conspiracy to commit battery. Regarding the conspiracy claim, Duarte's suit states that Brown had "been engaged in a public verbal dispute" with Ocean and "has, through social media, attempted to publicly belittle Frank Ocean, and any recording artist or acts associated with him." The Grammy winners have had their differences, mainly via Twitter, though the remnants of their feud have long since been deleted. A rep for Brown told TMZ, "Chris Brown does not employ anyone named Hood."

Miley Cyrus Gets Food Poisoning in Germany, Mulls Getting Chris Brown Tattoo on Her Cheek

Miley Cyrus isn't having the most wunderbar of times in Germany. The star gave her regrets to her fans today after what turned out to be food poisoning forced her to cancel an appearance. "Sick in bed :( away from home. Music is the best medicine," she tweeted this morning, followed by, "Sorry 2 Bild and all my fans for not being able to make it today! Something's are outta my control. I'm really sick thanks for understanding." She was reportedly due at a meet-and-greet with fans at the Berlin office of German newspaper Bild. But apparently Miley wasn't able to spend her day recuperating, tweeting about an hour later, "And I apologize in advance to any reporters I may puke on or get sick. #norestforthewicked." The "We Can't Stop" singer did manage at least one sit-down, with Promiflash (though it's unclear whether this was before or after falling ill, the clip hit the Internet ), telling the celeb news site all about the new tattoo she was thinking of getting. "I was thinking about maybe getting 'Chris Brown' across this cheek," she said, pointing to the left side of her face. "It would be really good for my career." Well, at least it probably wouldn't be a style statement that anyone would rush to imitate, the way folks did with her short platinum cut, according to the trendsetter herself. "Hopefully my hair grows really quick and next time you see me I'll have a pony down to my butt," she said. "I just always want to be different. Everyone else has cut their hair to look just like me, so now I got to do something different. I don't like when you walk in and you see a bunch of other yous." Also today, Miley tweeted about watching the Hilary Swank tear-jerker P.S. I Love You ("Saddest moviiiiie") and at one point wondered whether she had been hacked—a tweet she soon deleted. Miley Cyrus Twitter Twitter Figuring it out a bit later, she tweeted, "Never mind. Realized I'm just an idiot & somehow I butt tweeted my conversation. Missing home #foodpoisoningsabitch."

Chris Brown's Camp Responds to Sponsor Pulling Out of Canadian Concert Because of Singer's Involvement

Chris Brown's name can still make waves—even North of the Border. One of the sponsors of a concert in northeastern Canada has withdrawn its support of the event after learning that Brown was scheduled to perform, E! News has confirmed. Energy Rush, a show put on by radio station Energy 103.5, is scheduled for Aug. 31 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The station's website gives Chris Brown top billing for the show. Rogers Communications, a major Canadian telecommunications firm, states that that it pulled its sponsorship from the show specifically because Brown has been added to the bill. "Rogers has been a sponsor of the Energy Rush concert series for the last seven years, an opportunity that has brought many popular musical acts to metro Halifax," a company spokesperson told E! News. "Our agreement to continue sponsorship of the series was made before Chris Brown's appearance was announced. However, as soon as he was confirmed as one of eight performers, we decided to withdraw our sponsorship at this time. "We have shared a great partnership with the local radio station for the last seven years and we appreciate their understanding of our decision," the spokesperson added. Meanwhile, Brown's rep tells E! News, "It's a shame that some people are so short-sighted and uninformed. Chris is an award-winning artist whose goal is to inspire and entertain. He engages in many philanthropic endeavors to support his community and communities worldwide including the Jenesse Center Domestic Violence Intervention Program, Best Buddies, AIDS Project Los Angeles, Kids Wish Network, Get Schooled and Home Again. "He's just embarked on the Unity Campaign to bring people together despite their differences while promoting tolerance and forgiveness. Chris strives to learn from his past and to grow as a person, as we should all do. Chris is looking forward to being a part of the Energy Rush Concert Series." Stephen D. Tobin, owner of Drop Entertainment Group (which is putting on the Energy Rush concert series) echoes Breezy's camp, telling E! News, "Chris brown is a multi-platinum, award winning, international artist and we are pleased to be welcoming him to Canada. Although Chris is as controversial as he is talented, there is no denying that he is one of the biggest, boldest, chart-topping names in the music industry today. With the momentum of Chris's new album set to release this Fall, we have full confidence these Canadian performances will in fact be very well received."

Chris Brown Accused of Assaulting Woman in Nightclub—Details Here

Chris Brown is being accused of living up to his bad-boy reputation. E! News has learned that the singer has been accused of assaulting a woman at a San Diego nightclub on Saturday evening. The Anaheim Police Department confirmed that they received a phone call from a woman alleging that she was pushed by the rapper during his performance at Heat Ultra Lounge at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night. She claimed that she was pushed and injured, but did not meet with the police in person regarding the incident. The investigation is currently ongoing, and police have not revealed the identity of the woman involved in the alleged incident. E! News exclusively spoke with the operational manager at the nightclub who claimed to hear that Brown had "moved someone out of the way" after his set and that "perhaps the incident is being blown out of proportion." Brown, apparently responding to reports of the incident, tweeted, "I didn't do anything." His tweet has since been deleted. Earlier this month, the "Fine China" singer was in court to discuss discovery materials stemming from his 2009 assault case. The L.A. County District Attorney's Office had accused the Grammy winner of providing shoddy documentation concerning the 180 hours of community labor he supposedly completed as part of his sentence for assaulting Rihanna. Per the current terms of his sentence, he is on probation until next summer. The judge set a preliminary hearing date for July 15 to determine whether they should move forward with a probation-violation charge. No word yet on how the latest assault allegations may affect Brown's ongoing court case. UPDATE: Heat management is standing by Brown, with Mike Joher of Royal Entertainment telling E! News in a statement that, based on information gathered from their security, mall security and other partygoers, "it is apparent that the alleged incident regarding Chris Brown is fales." According to the club, Brown's accuser was trying to jump on the stage and "there was no way that he could have touched her, his section was roped off and he had heavy security surrounding him. Witnesses state that she was persistently trying to rush Chris" and was "eventually removed from the club." Heat also alleges that the woman threw her shoes at club security as she was being escorted out and, while they thought about calling the cops, they allowed her to just leave. Brown "was a complete gentleman and remained professional throughout the entire night," Joher concluded. "Neither I, nor any of the witnesses we spoke to, saw him push or touch anybody."

Chris Brown Cuddles With Karrueche Tran in Sweet Moment Captured on Instagram

So are Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran back on or what?! The duo's endless are-they-or-arent't-they debate continues after a friend of the pair posted a sweet photo on Instagram of Breezy and Karrueche cuddling together. "No friendship without love," rapper Kid Red wrote along with the snapshot, which he posted two days ago. The pair have been spending a good amount of time together since Brown's split with Rihanna, including a weekend in Las Vegas for Memorial Weekend. Brown, however, has also been spotted escorting other females around town, so there's no definite answer as to whether or not the singer has decided to reconcile romantically with Tran. Regardless, it appears that she still has a shoulder for him to lean on.

Chris Brown Spotted Out With Mystery Girl After Clubbing With Ex Karrueche Tran and Friends

Chris Brown may or may not be single, but he's definitely ready to mingle. The rapper, who ended his off-and-on relationship with Rihanna recently, has been spending some time with another ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. Now a new young lady has entered the mix. E! News learns that on Sunday night, Breezy partied until the wee hours of 5 a.m. at New York City nightclub Pink Elephant (yes, the same one Ri-Ri was at not too long ago) alongside Tran, and later left with group of men and women. Last night, Brown was spotted escorting a mystery woman out without the whole entourage. The duo went to Club Griffin in the Meatpacking District, staying until about 4 a.m. Despite a full social schedule, he'll always have at least one cutie to cuddle with.

Chris Brown Parties in Vegas With Karrueche Tran by His Side!

There's nothing quite like Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas... Chris Brown spent Sunday surrounded by bikini-clad women at the Palms Pool at the Palms Casino Resort with 9Group. The "Fine China" singer soaked up the sun by the pool with an entourage of friends and possibly on-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran and later performed on stage in front of a massive crowd. Brown kept cool in the desert heat in khaki shorts, a white shirt and a black baseball cap. An eyewitness told E! News that Tran helped rub suntan lotion on Brown's chest and danced along while he gave his impromptu performance. "They were definitely super touchy feely, looking into each others eyes while dancing," the insider added. "The two were side-by-side the entire time." The two later stayed overnight in a hotel suite at the Palms. It appears that Rihanna may be completely out of the picture. Brown's been spotted hanging out with his ex-girlfriend for the last month and even spent his birthday with her in Los Angeles. What do you think of Brown getting back with his ex? Weigh in below!

Chris Brown Confirms Rihanna Split: "I Can't Focus on Wife-ing Someone That Young"

The signs were there, but now Chris Brown has laid all the facts out on the table. During an interview with 2Day's (yes, the Australian radio station that infamously prank-called Kate Middleton) The Kyle and Jackie Show, Breezy confirmed that he and Rihanna are no longer dating (at least, for now) while discussing the multiple birthday celebrations he had lined up. "I've actually got three birthday parties scheduled, I got one in L.A., one in Vegas and one in New York so we can gon' have fun, and I'm just trying to have, you know, the best time with my fans and all the people in the club." But what about Ri-Ri? "Imma do it solo," Brown continued. "I mean, at the end of the day, shawty doing her own thang, she on the road. It's always gonna be love. I'm a grown man, just gotta fast forward." The singer makes it clear that his love for Rihanna hasn't gone anywhere, but at this point in their lives, it's just not practical, "I'm always gonna love that person. I cant be focused on wife-ing someone that young. I need to be the best Chris Brown I can be. Do you think Chris and Ri-Ri will get back together? Sound off in the comments!

Report: Chris Brown's Dad Doesn't Want the Rapper to Date Rihanna

Chris Brown's dad isn't the happiest camper when it comes to his son's current love life. Breezy's pops, Clinton Brown, was very candid during an interview with The New York Daily News when he plainly said, "I personally really didn't want him and Rihanna back together." Considering the couple's tumultuous past, Brown says he feels this could end horribly, and lead the famous rapper down the tragic path like other stars before him. "I hate to use examples, but Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse—I mean I could go on and on," Brown stated, "Is that a given—that you can't have fortune and fame without [death] being the end result?" He added, "You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical, but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical." But Clinton can't deny Ri-Ri's appeal, saying that "she's beautiful, she's exotic, she's successful," and also notes that being in the same industry probably helps, too, because "you just need that person who will listen to you without judging, who knows what it feels like. If he talks to someone who's not in the business they may not understand." The pair were reportedly on the outs for the umpteenth time in early April, but then Brown was spotted hanging out backstage in the VIP section at Ri-Ri's concert in Los Angeles. A couple of days later, Rihanna confirmed the two were back on after posting a cozy picture of the duo taking a joyride in Los Angeles. Do you agree with Chris' dad? Sound off in the comments!

Chris Brown's Shirtless, Crotch-Grabbing Performance in NYC—See the Pic!

Chris Brown can't stop grabbing his crotch! The 23-year-old singer made an impromptu performance last night at Power105.1's DJ ProStyle Birthday Bash Concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Rihanna's on-again, off-again boyfriend hit the stage shirtless wearing only sagging tan pants that showed off his black Polo Ralph Lauren underwear. Brown also couldn't help tugging at his trousers in front of the crowd. "I love NYC," he tweeted yesterday. "The line Is around the block. Lets turn up tonight! #nodrama #staypositive #lovemylife." Brown followed up postperformance with, "I love all my fans who came out tonight. Wasn't supposed to perform but I couldn't resist. I l0ve y'all!" Ciara, Fat Joe, Wale and Fabolous also performed during the concert event.

Chris Brown Defends Himself After Will.i.am Is Accused of Ripping Off "Let's Go"

Chris Brown just showed up, end of story. That's what the R&B star implied anyway in response to an accusation that Will.i.am ripped off another song to make his track "Let's Go," which features Brown (and isn't to be confused with the Calvin Harris tune featuring Ne-Yo). "I don't even know who mat zo Or arty is? I ain't got s--t to do wit if ur mad or not. Someone asked for a feature on a record and I did it," Brown wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted, though it was caught for posterity in a screengrab by the Huffington Post. Still online are the following possibly related Brown tweets: "I don't listen to that shit half the time anyway. #X" and "#staypositive." Will.i.am, meanwhile, has not yet responded to the claim from Arty and Mat Zo that the Black Eyed Pea allegedly pilfered their dance track "Rebound." "They never cleared rights through Anjunabeats, who's only one label, who ownes [sic] the rights for 'Rebound,'" Arty tweeted. But apparently the backlash from the offensive wing of the peanut gallery was so fierce that Mat Zo took to Facebook to encourage the haters to cool off. "I really and truely [sic] appreciate all the support you are giving me and Arty in response to Will I Am's copyright infringement. However, this doesnt excuse the horrific abuse youre sending the way of Will I Am and Chris Brown, and it especially doesnt excuse being racist," he wrote.

Rihanna Posts Cozy New Photo With Chris Brown

Rihanna apparently wants people to know that Chris Brown is a part of her life, whatever that may mean to them at this time. The "Stay" singer posted a photo of herself and Breezy today going for a ride in the California sun, cruising with the top down. "This s--t look like a toupee," Ri-Ri wrote, quoting the lyrics of Brown's "Look At Me Now." While their relationship can get a little frustrating for those who attempt to follow all the back-and-forth action, this picture—one of several that Rihanna posted today in which she's wearing the same outfit—looks pretty cozy. They could be just any ole couple who wanted to capture a sweet moment (here's hoping they were stopped at a red light), rather than a couple of headline-makers. A source told E! News Monday that the pair were on the outs for the umpteenth time, but then Brown was spotted hanging out backstage and in the VIP section at Ri-Ri's concert in Los Angeles that very night. So maybe there's still a chance that they're going to ride off into the sunset together.

Chris Brown Looks Nervous but Lawyer Smiles After Probation Hearing

Chris Brown isn't out of the probation weeds yet. The embattled R&B star, clad in khakis and an untucked white button-down shirt, was in court today for a hearing pertaining to the L.A. County District Attorney's Office's concerns that he didn't properly complete the community labor requirement of his felony sentence for beating up Rihanna in 2009. And while attorney Mark Geragos was smiling, his arm around Brown, as he and his client emerged from judge's chambers after a 25-minute consult, the singer later looked nervous on his way out of the courtroom. L.A. Superior Court Judge James Bradlin kicked off the ultimately brief hearing by announcing that all parties "had a fairly lengthy discussion in chambers," where they reviewed motions from the D.A. and Geragos, as well as supplemental probation reports. Bradlin explained that new discovery had just come in in the form of two thick envelopes, one from the probation department in Brown's native Virginia, where he and his attorney say he sufficiently completed his 180 days of service, and another from the state of New York. The contents of both envelopes remain sealed at this time. Meanwhile, Bradlin granted a continuance until June 10. With Rihanna off on her Diamonds World Tour, Brown's mother and a bodyguard were left to accompany him to court today.

Rihanna Joins Chris Brown on List of Celeb Swatting Victims

Add Rihanna to a growing list of swatting victims that also includes her main man, Chris Brown. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to E! News Thursday that a prank phone call was made to authorities alleging an incident occurred at her home, causing police to be dispatched to Ri-Ri's house, only to see upon arrival that nothing was going on. So, what story did the perpetrator come up with to get the cops involved? According to police, they got a call shortly after 3 p.m. that an armed suspect was in the singer's house and had shot somebody. Officers ultimately found no evidence of a crime and nobody was hurt. Rihanna, who's currently on her Diamonds World Tour, was not at home. Obviously. Similar incidents have also occurred at the homes of Sean "Diddy" Combs, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher and neighbors of the Jenner family.
