MANILA -- After an exchange of tweets to set the date, well-loved Pinoy showbiz imports Sandara Park and Ryan Bang appeared to have finally met up in their native Korea.
In photos posted Thursday on their respective Instagram pages, the "It's Showtime" host and 2NE1 star are seen posing at what appears to be a restaurant.
According to the accompanying caption of Bang's photo, it was taken at Yeolbong, a popular chicken restaurant in Seoul. "Salamat kay Dara (Park) [para sa] lunch namin. Pag pupunta ka sa Philippines, bawi ako sayo. Ang bait mo talaga," the caption read.
Park's photo, also captioned "Yeolbong chicken," shows her with Bang flashing the peace sign. "Ingat kayo pabalik ng [Pilipinas]!" the photo's caption read.
The meeting took place after the stars exchanged messages publicly on micro-blogging site Twitter, apparently hoping to set a get-together.
Park and Bang reportedly first met in 2011, when the actress-singer visited the Philippines for a vacation. This was followed by another meeting in March this year, when Bang and "It's Showtime" co-host Vhong Navarro went to South Korea.
Bang, who charmed the Filipino audience during his stint as a housemate on "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2010, has appeared in several ABS-CBN shows as host and comedian.
Dubbed the Philippines' "pambansang krungkrung," Park, meanwhile, rose to fame in 2004, when she finished runner-up on the Kapamilya talent search "Star Circle Quest."
After a string of film and TV projects, Park, however, decided to leave for Korea to pursue a showbiz career there. In 2009, she took on the name "Dara" as a member of 2NE1.
