MANILA – Producer and writer Chito Alcid has passed away at the age of 62. Alcid’s son Chino said his father died at St. Luke’s Hospital in Taguig City due to colon cancer. The entertainment writer was diagnosed of the sickness just last July. In August, Alcid had an out-of-court settlement with Annabelle Rama, saying he wanted to have peace in the last days of his life. A tribute for him will be held on November 9.
