MANILA – Actor Coco Martin prefers to stay silent amid reports finally disputing the years-long allegation that he has a child out of wedlock.
"The Buzz" reported on Sunday that a test conducted recently revealed that the "Juan dela Cruz" star is not the father of his former girlfriend's daughter.
“Honestly, hindi ko siya trinatong tinik sa buhay ko. Isa 'yon sa nagpatibay sa akin kung nasaan man ako ngayon. Napakalalim ng pinagdaanan ko,” he told “The Buzz” in an interview which aired on Sunday.
Asked if rumors of having a child ever affected him, the actor said: “Sobra naman, siyempre.”
In an interview with entertainment website Pep.ph last month, Martin was asked about the supposed DNA test which revealed that he is not the father of sexy actress Katherine Luna's child.
“Ayoko munang pag-usapan 'yun. Kumbaga, hinahayaan ko na lang,” Martin briefly said.
Pep.ph reported that Luna has been claiming that Martin is the father of her eight-year-old daughter.
Luna and Martin became a couple when the actor was just starting out in the movie industry starring in independent films.
