At the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, celebs ditched the wild outfits and instead opted for gorgeous Grammy-ready gowns.
Leading the pack of elegant stars? Taylor Swift . The star was simply stunning in a plunging Herve Leger by Max Azria gown. She completed her retro look with finger curls and her signature sassy red lip.
Equally as beautiful in navy was her bestie Selena Gomez (think they planned to wear the same color?), who for the second big event in a row opted for a thigh high split. This time her Atelier Versace gown only had one split but the top had an exposed bustier, which added even more va-va voom to her look.
Also going with a sheer effect, Ciara glowed in a Givenchy creation with perfectly placed crystal embellishments and a feather hemline. The dress even had built in gloves, which may seem very familar to fashion fans.
Gowns aside, there were a few pretty above-the-knee ensembles. Allison Williams was the definition of lovely in a white Valentino mini while Shailene Woodley proved the crop top can look lady-like by pairing it with a printed Emilio Pucci skirt.
