MANILA -- TV host Raymond Gutierrez has switched networks after almost a decade as a contract artist of GMA-7.
The 29-year-old host, who is part of the Gutierrez clan of local celebrities, announced his move to TV5 on Friday through a post on image-sharing service Instagram.
Captioned "New beginnings," the photo shows him posing beside the logo of the No. 3 network.
"Happy to announce that I'm officially a freelance artist & joining the team of the brand new TV5 starting this September. Looking forward to seeing you all again on weekends!" he said.
Gutierrez, who is also known as a fashion editor, did not give more details on his new project with the Manny V. Pangilinan-owned network.
His career is managed by his mother, Annabelle Rama, who has been vocal of wanting her children -- including Ruffa and Raymond's twin brother Richard -- to go "freelance" in their respective careers.
Gutierrez had been a host on various GMA-7 programs since 2004 before signing up with TV5.
His official transfer came within days of another high-profile coup for the network, having scored veteran singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid as one of its new talents.
