MANILA -- Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda addressed a man claiming to be his "son" behind the spread of his controversial sex video with girlfriend Neri Naig.
In a post on his band's official Facebook page, which has over 3.1 million followers, the 37-year-old singer made light of a rumor claiming that he already has a child.
"Nagalit mga kabanda ko sa akin kasi may mga anak na daw pala ako tapos di ko man lang sila sinabihan. Nagtampo tuloy si Dindin [Moreno] kasi bakit hindi ko daw sya kinuhang ninong.
"Nag-sorry ako kasi kanina ko lang din nabalitaan na may mga anak na pala ako. Akala ko talaga chismis lang! Parang gago yung nag-imbento nung chismis na yun. Hehe! Buti nalang di hamak na mas gago mga kabanda ko. Hahaha!" Miranda said.
The message, posted late Thursday, already has over 63,000 likes and over 700 shares on Facebook.
Miranda was referring to a series of posts on the same social networking site made by a certain Alfonso Yanga Miranda, who referred to the singer as "Daddy" in an apparent open letter which is now making the rounds online.
In the letter, "Alfonso" claimed he was behind the "robbery" of Miranda's room.
Last week, the singer said he lost his computer hard drive, which stored his private video with Naig, in a theft.
Alfonso said he is out to ruin his own "father," and even warned Miranda that he is no longer a child.
The singer, however, seemed unfazed in his post addressing the claim. Miranda went on to say, "Buti nalang walang iwanan sa Parokya."
