Angelina Jolie makes quite the Maleficent. So much so, the actress shares that while she was in costume, she scared little kids.
While presenting a clip from the upcoming Disney movie at Saturday's D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif., the actress admitted there was only one child who wasn't scared of her.
According to People, Jolie told the crowd: "These little kids would visit the set, and I would think, 'Oh, I am a Disney character,' so I would go over to them, and say, 'Hi there.' They would just scream." Adding, "One little kid even said, 'Mommy, please make the mean witch stop talking to me.' "
However, one little girl wasn't scared of Angelina's portrayal of Sleeping Beauty's nemesis—her daughter Vivienne, who plays young Sleeping Beauty in the movie.
"Vivienne was the only 4-year-old who didn't scream when she saw me," the mother of six joked.
Jolie, who donned her signature all-black look for the Expo, also revealed she's always had a liking for the dark villain. "Since I was a little girl, Maleficent was always my favorite. I was terrified of her, but I was so drawn to her," Jolie said. "She had this elegance and grace, and yet she was so cruel. Just wonderfully and deliciously cruel."
