MANILA – Actress Bea Alonzo admitted that being with actor Zanjoe Marudo for over two years changed her as a person.
Prior to meeting Marudo, Alonzo said her normal routine would just be work and home. But because of Marudo, she has become an outgoing person.
The actress said her mother also appreciates these changes.
“Natutuwa rin ako kasi marami siyang nabago sa akin. Ang nanay ko nagpapasalamat sa kanya kasi dati na hindi pa siya dumarating sa buhay ko, laging ang buhay ko lang sa trabaho at tsaka sa bahay. Parang natutuwa ‘yung nanay ko na nagkaroon ako ng mga kaibigan, na lumalabas na ako, na hindi ko na ina-isolate ang sarili ko sa loob ng bahay,” she said.
Alonzo credited Marudo for bringing out the better side of her in dealing with other people.
This, however, does not mean to say that they do not encounter problems as well.
“Siyempre we have our rough roads also and we’re like a typical couple na nag-aaway. I’m just happy na ‘yung pinag-aawayan namin hindi siya big deal,” she said.
The actress said she is fortunate to have a boyfriend with whom she can just be herself.
But the actress has her own take when it comes to accepting acting projects with Marudo.
“Actually hindi namin priority. Gusto sana namin kasi magkatrabaho. Pero ako siyempre magkatrabaho kayo like sa soap opera ng mahaba so ang hirap niyo ng paghiwalayin. So it’s better na he has his own job and I have mine so parang pag magkikita kami we have stories to tell,” she said.
The celebrity couple have been together since March 16, 2011.
