MANILA, Philippines -- Singer-actress Sarah Geronimo received a luxury watch from her "It Takes A Man And A Woman" leading man John Lloyd Cruz.
During the victory party of the movie on Monday night, Geronimo even showed the gift from Cruz, which he gave her during a block screening of the hit movie.
"Time, time is something we share in a very special way," Cruz said, when asked of the meaning of his gift for Geronimo.
According to Star Cinema, "It Takes A Man And A Woman," which is now the second highest grossing Filipino film of all time, has already earned P375 million since it opened in theaters on Black Saturday.
"I'm out of words talagang grabe. Puno lang po kami ng pasasalamat. In behalf of the whole team gusto po naming magpasalamat," Cruz said.
"Ang intention ay maraming mapasayang tao at mabahagi ang learnings ng pelikula," Geronimo added. "Bonus kung ma-surpass namin 'yung (nakuha ng 'Sisterakas')."
"Sisterakas," which starred Ai Ai delas Alas, Kris Aquino and Vice Ganda, is currently the highest grossing local film of all time with earnings close to P400 million.
In the interview, Geronimo and Cruz reiterated that they are open to doing a "part 4" if the ABS-CBN management pushes for it and if the storyline is good.
No 'sitcom'
Meanwhile, Geronimo and Cruz also bared that their rumored sitcom project will not push through.
"Ako ayaw ko. Hindi ko tinatanggihan. Ang sinasabi ko lang is you know the business aspect, we are also aware of it, hindi naman po kami baguhan. I think we need to protect our premium which is our movies," Cruz explained.
"Parang ayaw mo namang itapon ang pinaghirapan mo hindi ba? ...Siguro kapag mga 50 na tayo," Geronimo said.
Cruz is set to do a new film with Star Cinema, while Geronimo will concentrate on her drama anthology. She will also be busy coaching for ABS-CBN's "The Voice of the Philippines," which starts airing in June.
