MANILA, Philippines - Host-actress Kris Aquino admitted on Monday that just like many of her fellow celebrities, she is also addicted to the smartphone application "Candy Crush."
On her morning talk show "KrisTV," Aquino said she has spent $300 (a little over P12,000) to buy "lives," which are used to continue playing the game.
She said she wants to delete "Candy Crush" from her phone to avoid spending so much on the application.
"'Yung sa iTunes, I want to stop. Lord, I want to stop. It's an addiction. Pinagtatawanan ko lang dati si Deo (Endrinal) na more than $1,000 ang nagastos sa kakabili ng buhay. Kinalculate ko, nakaka-$300 na ako, awat na. Buburahin ko na 'yon talaga," Aquino said.
"In fairness, sa akin mga three weeks pa lang akong naglalaro, nasa level 77 na ako. I think it's a big deal but my sister Pinky, my God, natapos niya 'yung 270 something, tapos na-download niya na 'yung dagdag, addict talaga, na-addict talaga. Eh may achievement ka talagang nafe-feel. I was with Juan Sarte, he was stuck at level 33, so feeling ko ang galing-galing ko na nandito na ako sa 70 plus. Pero ang laki-laki na nang nagastos ko kaya tama na, kasalanan na," she added.
Aside from Aquino, other Kapamilya stars such as Sam Concepcion, Iya Villania and Vice Ganda have admitted that they are addicted to "Candy Crush."
