MANILA, Philippines -- After earning back-to-back recognition for his performances in two Star Cinema movies, actor Dingdong Dantes continues to explore new projects that he wants to co-produce with ABS-CBN's film production outfit.
Just in time with the commemoration of the 27th anniversary of the People Power Revolution, the 32-year-old actor announced his interest in making a film on the life of Benigno Aquino, Jr., whose assassination led to protests that culminated in the historic 1986 event.
"Ninoy Aquino has always fascinated me and inspired me in so many ways, so it's something... it's part of my wishlist," Dantes told ABS-CBN News on Monday.
Dantes said he is open to co-produce the film with Star Cinema, following his two Metro Manila Film Festival Best Actor wins for his roles in two movies produced by ABS-CBN's film production arm -- "Segunda Mano" (2011) and "One More Try" (2012).
"That's very possible... Kung dati naman naisip kong imposible 'yun, I don't think it's impossible anymore. Lahat naman posible, basta may magandang intensyon, magandang proyekto," he said.
Aside from his award-winning performances onscreen, Dantes has tried his hand at directing. as well as producing TV shows and films. Last year, "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles," the launching movie of his own film production company, Agostodos Pictures, was released.
Dantes' other passions, meanwhile, are featured in the March 2013 issue of StarStudio.
In the latest edition of the entertainment magazine, the actor opens up on his relationship with actress Marian Rivera, as told through exclusive photographs of them together during vacations in Barcelona, Spain, Angkor Wat and Amanpulo, Palawan.
Dantes also shows his collection of vehicles to StarStudio, including a Chevrolet Corvette and a Ducati Diavel, which was a gift from Rivera.
The Big Summer Travel Special issue, out in newsstands in March, also features Kapamilya stars' own photos of their adventures to some of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.
