MANILA, Philippines -- "Bandila" anchor Boy Abunda is not at all offended by comedian Jason Gainza's impersonation of him.
"Ako tuwang tuwa. People would ask me how I react to Jason, tuwang tuwa ako, kapag pinapanod ko ang sarili ko.
Minsan talaga, tama," Abunda said on "Bandila" on Tuesday.
"I mean, let's admit it.
There are times that I would watch, he does it well, he works hard and does his research," he said,
adding that he doesn't see anything wrong with Gainza making money from impersonating him.
Last Monday, ABS-CBN launched its new comedy show "Banana Nite" which has a segment called "Ihaw Na!,"a spoof of Abunda's "Ikaw Na" portion on "Bandila."
In a previous interview with ABS-CBNnews.com, Gainza admitted that his impersonations of Abunda have boosted his career as a comedian.
Gainza said he will be forever grateful to Abunda for supporting and allowing him to play the character of "Tito Bhoy."
