Yeng gets bitten by acting bug after debut film

MANILA -- After finishing her debut movie "Shift," singer Yeng Constantino is hoping to be given more acting projects. "Sana po ay umpisa na ito ng bagong path in my career," Constantino said in an interview on Tuesday during the press conference for Cinema One Originals, where "Shift" is among this year's entries. Kung magkaganoon po mas willing na po ako this time do it," the "Chinito" singer added. "Shift" is one of the 10 films included in Cinema One Originals Currents, the indie film festival's P1-million budget category. Directed by Siege Ledesma, "Shift" tells the story of an idealistic, tomboyish slacker who is employed as a call center agent and mentored by a pragmatic, gay senior agent. Joining Constantino in the movie are Felix Roco, Alex Medina and Matt Valena. The singer said the biggest challenge for her in doing the movie is channeling various emotions. Challenging 'yon for me kasi masayahin ako," she said. So sa tingin ko konting practice pa," she added.
