Robi says it's a challenge to replace 'The Voice PH'

MANILA - Robi Domingo admitted that he and the rest of the hosts of "I Dare You" are set to face a big challenge as their show replaces the hit singing competition "The Voice of the Philippines." Domingo, one of the social media correspondents of "The Voice of the Philippines," noted that the recently concluded show featured both top local and international artists. "Yes [matindi ang pressure], hindi talaga mawawala 'yon. Kasi iba 'yung 'The Voice,' it has been a storm. It took our country [by storm] and dominated the ratings, with team Lea, team Bamboo, team apl and team Sarah. "The Gonzaga sisters are there. 'Yung mga guests namin, Shane Filan, Patti Austin. This one, we're not promising to give you Shane Filan or Patti Austin, but we promise to give you our passion, to give you our experiences and to give you all of our hearts. This is all about experiences, all about immersions and telling people na 'yung hamon talaga ng pagbabago ay kailangang harapin ngayon na," Domingo said. Lessons Domingo went on to mention the things he learned while doing "I Dare You," which he also shared with his girlfriend, television host Gretchen Ho. "Being optimistic all the time. She’s the serious type eh, always game. She’s game face on all the time. Even with the boys talagang may great wall siya. Great wall of China na nga siya, may great wall pa siya sa sarili niya. But with this show's help, it helped me to be more optimistic about life, to be more happy about it. Habang ginagawa ko ito, 'yun ang na-impart ko sa kanya, na life is not just about winning and losing. It’s just there and you just have to experience it. It’s there to be waiting to be experienced. At the end of the day, it all boils down to happiness," he said. On the other hand, Domingo said he learned how to be simple because of Ho. "Simplicity. Kasi ito walang bola, 'yung kagandahan niya iba eh. Tulad ng sinasabi ko sa kanya, every time na makikita ko siya, she’s my beauty queen who happens to wear kahit shirt and jeans. Kahit na ganoon lang ang suot niya, beauty queen pa rin siya sa akin. Ang simple ng ganda niya, even 'yung attitude niya about things sobrang okay," he said. Meanwhile, Domingo said feels blessed with all the things that are happening in his career and personal life. "I just feel so blessed about everything, not just about something, it's about everything. Imagine 'PBB,' 'The Voice,' her (Ho) and 'I Dare You,' sobrang daming blessings. So I feel so big and I feel na kailangan kong i-impart iyan sa iba’t ibang bagay," he said. "I Dare You" will premiere this Saturday (October 12) after "Maalaala Mo Kaya."
