Dawn has crush on 'sons' Gerald, Coco

MANILA – Dawn Zulueta admitted she has a crush on Coco Martin and Gerald Anderson, who both played as her sons in two different television series. Martin was Zulueta’s son in the top-rating series “Walang Hanggan,” while Anderson is the actress’ son on the new show “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin” which will begin on Monday. In an interview with “The Buzz,” Zulueta said it was comedian Vice Ganda who made her admit who among the young stars is her showbiz crush. “Kung sino daw mga crush ko sa mga young actors. Nasabi ko tuloy na crush ko si Gerald and Coco. Hindi nila alam, ngayon alam na nila. Boy crush lang naman iyon,” she said while giving out a hearty laugh. Zulueta said she likes both actors because they have so much love for their family. The actress specifically noted Anderson’s closeness to his mom which she personally witnessed. “Gerald is such a sweetheart. He’s a total package. He’s a sweet boy who loves his mama. Kapag ang mga boyfriend nirerespeto at nagmamahal sa mga ina nila, magiging mabuting asawa iyan,” she said. Family life Speaking of family, Zulueta shared that she is fortunate to have a loving and supportive husband in the person of Representative Anton Lagdameo. “Hindi naman mahirap ligawan kasi si Anton mabilis makaintindi. Sabi ko, ‘Alam mo hon, 'yung mga opportunities kasi sa aming mga artista kapag dumadating kasi iyan, you just have to grab it lalo na if alam mo na it’s really a good project,’” she said. Zulueta said her husband immediately agreed that she accept more showbiz projects after “Walang Hanggan” with the condition that she will still make time for her family. “Ang agreement naming Monday to Friday puwede ako magtrabaho tapos weekends libre na ako. I just stick to it. Very rare occasions na may [work on a] Sunday. When I’m not taping, kami lang ang magkasama. That’s when we catch up,” she said. Lagdameo, on the other hand, said he is glad that his wife could balance time for work and family very well. “Maasikaso, very hands-on. Disciplinarian din, pinagsasabihan ang mga bata at the same time maalaga. She always likes to do things with kids. Parating may time para sa mga bata. Kapag nasa trabaho siya and then the kids are free, kasama niya,” he said. Lagdameo said Zulueta is just like any other person when she is not on television. “She’s a normal person. Hindi rin siya 'yung kapag nasa bahay na, tulog and leave her alone. Hindi. Nag-aasikaso iyan sa mga gamit, OC iyan eh. Kailangan siya yung gagawa. Hindi napapabayaan yung bahay and yung trabaho,” he said.
