Raymond Gutierrez speaks up on ties with Napoles son

TV host says mulling legal move MANILA -- TV host Raymond Gutierrez addressed his alleged ties with the son of Janet Lim-Napoles, the supposed brains behind the P10-billion pork barrel scam, saying no business ever "materialized" despite their initial plans to put up one. The 29-year-old host, in a reply to one of his followers on image-sharing service Instagram, admitted he is acquainted with "one of the sons of Napoles" when asked about a report detailing alleged "business connections" among him, the supposed son of Napoles and two others. The follower's comment also mentioned the names of Bryan Revilla, the son of Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr. and Bacoor Rep. Lani Mercado; and Borgy Manotoc, the son of Ilocos Norte Rep. Imee Marcos. Addressing the comment, Gutierrez said, "I'm already consulting with a lawyer about that article. We met only twice through mutual friends but that planned business never materialized so I have no affiliation with them at this time. Thanks for the concern." In a report published on the news website Rappler early this month, Gutierrez, along with Manotoc and Bryan Revilla, were mentioned to have had alleged business ties with Napoles' children. Citing a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) document, the report said Gutierrez formed a public relations company with James and Jo-Christine Napoles registered in April 2012.
