MANILA – Singer and MYX VJ Sam Concepcion revealed his blossoming romance with Jasmine Curtis-Smith is what inspires him these days.
While he previously evaded questions about his personal life, Concepcion opened up to ABS-CBN News about his romantic ties with Anne Curtis’s younger sister.
“Hindi ko alam kung ano ba ang ligaw? I just make sure that I’m there for her and kapag may kailangan siya, I’m there. We’ve known each other for a while na. We hang out and we see each other,” he said on Monday.
Concepcion maintained he and Curtis-Smith are not trying to keep anything private.
“Whatever is there, whatever they see, that’s it. Siguro it’s inevitable, you’ll see us in public sometimes when we hang out. Siguro naman makikita niyo kami diyan diyan,” he said.
The 20-year-old Kapamilya singer said he is also flattered to know that Anne likes him for her sister.
“I guess that’s a good thing. Siyempre family niya iyon so, of course, hindi lang naman siya ang kailangan kong i-please, ang kailangan kong ligawan,” he said.
On Charice
Meanwhile, Concepcion shared what he thinks after Charice came out as a lesbian.
“Ako 'yung isa sa mga huli na when I saw it on the news. Pero she’s doing her own thing and I think what’s important for her right now is for people around her, the people she trusts and the people she loves to support her,” he said.
Charice and Concepcion were batchmates in the former televised singing competition “Little Big Star” hosted by Sarah Geronimo.
“People will keep bashing her, maraming magsasalita diyan. But as long as she’s doing her thing and masaya siya, wala naman siyang nao-offend na mga tao, okay naman,” he said.
Concepcion said Charice is one talented girl and no one can stop her from soaring high.
“As far as her talent is concerned, she is very talented. Walang magiging hindrance. Talented siya, malayo na ang narating niya,” he said.
